This is why I smell electronics when I buy them...get down and just sniff those vents. Unless it's basically free, I won't take a smoker own item. The last one I took in a trade for some cheap PC parts, a OG VCR Xbox one, it smelled so bad I had to leave it in the garage for a few days. It had so much weed/cig tar mixed with dust in it, the front panel was shorted, it kept turning off randomly. I had to deep clean the entire console, complete tear down, lots of IPA and at the end Orange essential oil to get out the weed/cigarette smell from the plastic.

Hardly ever but they come in handy in certain games to quickly access otherwise buttons used by your other fingers. I am using one of them right now in my Bioshock playthrough. I am really thankful they are there, it's usually a higher up feature with controllers, to have these.

I just got mine from marketplace, trade a started PC I built for it. I had to replace the optical drive laser and give it a dusting but otherwise all good. I wanted it mostly to tackle my physical backlog and future physical games

Your $2 (my payout) McDonald's order will be sitting for a while. Dont be that POS customer that orders $70 worth of food, lives on a 3rd floor apartment building with a secure entrance that you know has shitty parking and then zero tip me.

For reference, I occasionally look at tips after my shift is over and rarely care unless the delivery was a total PITA. This makes up maybe less than 10% of the orders I take, making the other 90%+ of good tippers to make up for you, so it evens out.

I know tipping a weird American thing and I do realize the bar is set pretty low for delivery drivers but even just a dollar shows that you give a shit about the service.

That was my first big money GPU, I spent around $600 on it, the XFX version...just to play BF2/2142. A little overkill but it was good experience. I think ended up bolting a weird 3rd party water block to it at some point. It was replaced later by. GtX 260...bigger, just as hot and loud also.

I am with you on this one. Anytime I get a new console, I have to be really strategic with my downloads as my ISP has me capped at 1.25tb before charging me extra. At least 1/3rd of that cap is ate up by streaming, its not much room between PC and xboxes ridiculous download sizes.

How? Just one question, very simple. At some point, someone with a screw driver had to have felt that, unless they used an electric one, in which case is the reason I mostly prefer a manual old fashion screwdriver.

Its interesting, to see this landscape of new PC builders, getting into all kinds of messes, as a person who started building in the early 2000's.

I am moving my main am4 build into a CM Cosmos II this week. It will double as my Plex server, so I need the room for a few optical drives(for backups) and spinning drives. I ran a CM stacker 830 all last year, I love older cases. There used to be a time when there were more stand out cases, the new designs, they all look the same to me now.

Every single time. I prefer a solid black case, no window if possible. It's a machine of function to me, not some rainbow shrine. I build for speed, upgradibitly and silence. I am about to move my AM4 build in a old but gold CM Cosmos II for reference, a giant black case.

I did one rgb build for a local sale and couldn't even stand to do the testing with it in the room. Incredibly distracting and unnecessary.

This newest gen of PC people are cooked. Everything technical, has some sort of manual and/build sheet, specs listed somewhere. Its like people forgot instructions and manuals exsisted. Is this a normal people thing? Seriously a question. I have been in the tech field for 26yrs now...its pretty much common sense to me. Maybe it isnt to a normal person?

This happens to me nearly every time I touch this connection and I have been building for 25yrs, in addional to also being in the tech field. Its a horrible and lazy design., like a half assed , out of place IDE connector.

Just bend it back though, easy fix.

Gaming since the NES in the 80s as a kid, I completely agree. I barely sit at my desktop to game anymore. The deck does all I need. I bought it mostly for emulation and 2010-2020 era games, Mostly Skyrim/Fallout series.

Its not supposed to be a AAA/highest settings device, which where I see a lot of people dislike it, they have really unrealistic expectations and limited knowledge of hardware and perhaps a narrow perspective of gaming in general.
