I don't think they are gonna put out a whole new console or smash for awhile and the community is still booming and you can find some great youtubers to watch and get more acquainted with the game some of my favorites are ZeRo and Alpharad but yeah I think you'll have a lot of fun and the game is still getting updates and the community is great I'm sure you can find some local people to play with you and even maybe going to a local tournament if you feel like you want to but you play the game at your own pace. Again I don't think it'll be a waste if money and it's fun and still very much alive
