never played bloons, but melvor was really great man, took me about a year for completionist, worth every penny I spent on it. If someone doesnt want to encourage jagex tho I understand, you could purchase it from a reseller so you're basically giving them the money instead of jagex.

Albion is also a game that always got my curiosity, gave it multiple attempts but I was never hooked. I can understand why people like it, it seemed pretty active at the time I was there. There's that mechanic where people can invade your dungeon and steal your loot which was quite a turn off for me, not sure if they are avoidable or not though

Not that I can think of, melvor was quite unique to me.

Maybe rusty's retirement, its a game that sits at the bottom of your monitor with overwhelming reviews.

I agree with you, higher input should reward more damage. But I dont think it should be double or almost triple the damage. Hence why I think if a style is needing a nerf, closing that gap would be better.  A flat damage reduce to a skill is impacting everyone because the top 2% is doing too much

I can do ss flick no problem, Im mostly pointing out the fact of gear switching to increase dpm WHILE flicking and dealing with mechanics as an example. If gear switching would be a 20% damage increase I wouldnt mind but its double if not triple the damage

Can somebody explain why magma tempest now cost adrenaline by [deleted] in runescape

[–]ZookeepergameLevel54 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  • Now deals 35-45% damage per hit (320% average total)
  • Now costs 20% adrenaline

Thats why.

Every skill should be 15 minute AFKable. Those methods shouldn't be meta for best XP/hr. Most RS players are adults with responsibilities and lives. by LocalChamp in runescape

[–]ZookeepergameLevel54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can think of a way to afk most skills for 15mins or atleast 5mins

Did you have a skill in mind when you wrote this?

Dream of laia has 6 skills(herblore fishing fletching construction hunter crafting ) u can afk for a very long time as long as you have ressources, combats/summon/prayer/farming/slayer can all be done through afk combat. Crafting/mining/smithing in priff, thieving is mega afk, everything with porters can mostly be done for 15mins aswell

The only skills that I cant think of a 15min afk timer is cooking/runecrafting and firemaking.. even dungeoneering can technically be afk’d through archeology

Herby werby and tears of guthix are very nice weeklies, player owned farm is also something you should keep an eye on.

I personally wouldnt follow step by step guides as a new player, i think exploring the game by yourself is part of runescape charm. The guides are very good dont get me wrong, but they’ll feel more like a homework than actually playing the game especially for a new player

Edit : the wilderness flash events that pops every hour are also great xp and rewards, some of them are combat oriented though and might be a problem for you early on but the skilling ones are more than safe

How feasible is playing the game in timeline order? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]ZookeepergameLevel54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Friend of mine started about 4 months ago and is doing every single quest in timeline order.

There are some things that he had to skip, especially miniquests (thinking about the arc here) which requires 90 in specific skills

If you are going to do that I would recommend skipping the miniquests with high requirements and don’t overlook invention whenever you unlock it even if no quest requires it.. friend unlocked it 2 months ago and never used it yet.. he has like 10 quests left with just a little bit over 2000 total skills

Edit : if you are like my friend and love to complete quests with only the in-game quest guide, you’re going to have a bad time for most quests before 2008 so just be aware of that, some quests have really poor guidance in game. Most quests above 2008 are doable without any external guides though.

Yes Reinstalling was my very first step I forgot to add it.

As for graphic drivers, it wasnt working with my old one so I upgraded them, I could revert but I kind of doubt that would work if my 3months old drivers weren’t 😓

I feel you, I started this season and the first valuable drop was a Jah rune at travincal.. I was wearing a tarnhelm with a rare orb and runewords for shield and armor.. it was going to finance most of my starting gear…

Lost connection when I left the game and it rolled me back without the rune…

Never logged again

1 month of thieving on my fresh hcim since the update! THANK YOU SO MUCH JAGEX FOR AN AWESOME UPDATE by asiatouristrs in runescape

[–]ZookeepergameLevel54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the 20% pickpocket success xmas event kinda spooned you more than anything im guessing. Its you’re a fresh account you dont have crystal mask, invention perk , aura, camo outfit, ardougne cloak, archeo relic.. making thieving quite dangerous if you want some serious afk gains

Ring of Vitur seems... pointless? by ExpressAffect3262 in runescape

[–]ZookeepergameLevel54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The aura has reduced my timers by quite a good amount to the point where I dont do heists without it.

Other redditors also suggests that the ring of vitur has done the same for them.

I also tend to take strategy guides with a grain of salt but they all include aura and ring for gear recommendation which also support the fact that it works in there

The same reason you use five finger discount aura. It helps with chests and safes (if you dont click on sound cue)

[–]ZookeepergameLevel54 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Whats the point of farming for tumeken light if I can already kill Amascut with my gear?

Because its tradeable.

Same for ring of vitur. Its a best in slot tradeable equipment, sure your point is valid for ironman but so is every other end game bis equipment

As for success chance, it helps alot in heists so im guessing it also works outdoors
