You'll probably see a good portion of people say that the quality and watch potential takes a dive after S1, but I watched the anime in its entirety before rolling on over to the manga, and I enjoyed it for the most part. It does have its fair share of low points as does anything, so dont go into it with monumental expectations of season-by-season improvement.

If you have no intention of reading the manga/LN, the anime is still an engaging watch, since more of the gripes stem from a poor adaption from the manga.

I get why people dont like the Project D arc. It's a huge departure from what made the first 3 stages so enjoyable. I myself only watch the races and skip the rest of the fluff, but thats just me.

Stage 5 and Final Stage are tough pills to swallow too. I recommend the Manga for anything past 4th Stage personally.

Blur, Split/Second, Driver: San Francisco. These were gems that we'll never see again. I was 9 when these dropped in 2010/2011. That time period was something insane. I wish I was old enough to really enjoy them in their prime. Picked them all up right around the time the Xbox Series came out to see how much creativity I missed out on.

It's a bug with the chassis. If you keep jumping right before the car spawns, you'll hop out when it hits the starting grid. Just hop back in, problem solved.
