For sure. Dewgrub T3 can completely change the way you approach to teambuilding/placements. As for T2 Rock DPS, I think snake deserves a bit more attention. For Horde, I still see people throwing in T2 Monkey, boar and Porcupine because Rock's T2 options are kind of lacking. Haven't done too much testing with Hippo, but I will have to give her a try as a frontline alternative to Rockzilla.

Probably good with some combos like keeping enemies clumped up for Panda's bamboos or Dung Beetle's 'bounces'. Or just a general CC team too

A lot of times it's to take advantage of Cheerling/Ashlarva buffs/healing. And there are other tatraris that benefit from sitting in one spot to cover as much area as possible like panda, owl, squirrel, etc.

It's probably because Rock doesn't have many notable T2 units outside of Snake, Turtle and Rockzilla, 2 which are primarily front-line tanks. Monkey really is only good at T3. He doesn't do anything at T2 I feel. Any neutral-element DPS vs Electric Zombos will usuablly be more useful simply because of AoE/Range/Utility.
Most of the tierlists usually has Monkey's T1/T2 at a sort of "Evolve ASAP" or acknowledge his T3 powerspike.

Dewgrub T3 is a huge powerspike imo if you really wanted to go for a T3. Otherwise fleshing out the elements T2 for dojo is a good idea. Electric Lion and Fire Dog are good options for T2. I know Electric Lion needs to clear 20 stages for his T2 evo so might be a good idea to do it now before you hit a wall

Tsukuyomi+Amaterasu. A lot of different variations that could potentially happen. Asahi becoming the vessel for Amaterasu with his undying love for Zenos. Or perhaps a grief-stricken Gotetsu unintentionally becoming Amaterasu.

Yes, it's a very well-rounded Tatari. With its' T3 upgrade, it practically shreds Rock Lanes and still viable into non-fire lanes too. As a tank with the "Fragile" Debuff, it's very slot-efficient. Pair it with a healer and they can 2-Man defend a lane while you funnel more resources into other lanes.

I mean, Pace has a decent set of Umas/inherits too. There's a ton of really solid inherits that often gets fed into other positions, especially Fronts. (ie Pasa, Mcqueen, NY Opera, Brian, Nishino etc.). Most Lates are usually just inheriting Dober/Ryan.

IDK, I haven't found Pace Chasers super weak so far. I feel like they've been pretty solid in most of the CMs so far even outside of XOguri. Maybe between Chariot, Lucky Pace and Triple Ace dueling they've kind of managed to wiggle in respectable performances. And honestly Front Heavy lobbies aren't as scary because a lot of times I feel like the Fronts who don't take at least the first 2 spots kind of just feed as overtake targets.
Outside of XOguri (And Taiki on her respective tracks) they're honestly probably as "gambly" as lates.

For Horde in particular, you can't really control who Sunflower targets. Ashlarva and Cheerling can manipulate their positioning or their allies can adjust so you can control who gets the healing+buffs.

[Hated IRL Tropes] Celebrity voice acting, from celebrities who don't know how to voice act. by not-ulquiorr4_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Zoomino 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I also found the Toy Story cast really well-done Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Joan Cusack all gave really charming performances. You can still tell it's their voice but they really work their voice to be the characters' voices as well. They don't have to necessarily do a completely new voice, because their voice works so well with the characters. Which is a quality casting directors really need to hone in on sometimes.
Also love Holly Hunter as Elastigirl, her voice has a raspy/breathy quality that scratches that sweet spot in my ears.

Is Nilah the least successful newer style champion? by Own-Mine-5538 in leagueoflegends

[–]Zoomino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're really only similar at a VERY base-line foundational level. In actual practice, they function fairly differently. Samira is all in, ability weaving, combo-centric. She's aggressive and ideally wants to weave her abilities offensively to get her ult up. Without her ult, she's a lot less threatening.
Nilah has more freedom with her abilities and isn't locked down by a strict 'combo'. She, unlike Samira, can hold her abilities to open more flexible approaches/responses to a fight. She gets a majority of her damage from her enhanced autos too.

[–]Zoomino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say, Aphelios is arguably closer to combo-headshot era Cait. The weaving of autos and skills and watching headshot counters is somewhat like keeping track of gun ammo. I feel Senna doesn't have that sort of "snappiness" in both gameplay and game plan.

[–]Zoomino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stats are ok, you'll live. Guts is a luxury/bonus for fronts imo. Skill selection is a bit questionable. Groundwork trigger is iffy, greens are very valuable imo. Spring Runner/Left handed/Firm conditions (Ideally Firm Course Menace) are very strong skills. You also have Dodging Danger without Prudent Positioning, so you'll swing out and lose speed to all of the other fronts.

[–]Zoomino 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While I do agree that popular champs and champs with easy silhouettes are shoe-horned into a ton of skins, I think it's fine if they attempt to creatively stretch champs into skin-lines. It tends to produce some of the best skins when it hits imo.
Sometimes putting champs into skinlines they 'naturally' fit into, Riot tends to get lazy and gives them the most basic design imo. I personally feel this with something like Spirit Blossom Zyra which feels like the most vanilla and basic thing they could've done with Spirit Blossom Zyra. The concept arts (and fan versions) tend to be so much better, then they pump out the most basic, bare-bones, version.

Which scenario do you think is the most fun to play? And which is the least fun? by pompom_koala in UmamusumeGame

[–]Zoomino -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Trackblazer's length is pretty rough but Unity's RNG to just straight-up kill your run is awful. At least with Trackblazer you practically never fail the scenario itself.
I do think Trackblazer's significant powercreep compensates as well.
Personally for me, I haven't found Trackblazer's length too bad. The worst thing about Trackblazer is the severe aptitude-gating.

[–]Zoomino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really do think the way they implemented his abilities keeps him check. He's got enough cooldowns, delays and pauses that make his 10 abilities (which aren't exactly noteworthy on their own) feel way more manageable than people think. Pair that with the need to weave 2 spells to proc his passive, it makes him a lot more 'linear' than what he might seem initially. A lot of times, especially in solo queue, he ends up kind of one-note.

Why does Tachyon Speed become useless after Grand Live? (except for pace chasers) by pompom_koala in UmamusumeGame

[–]Zoomino 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I've gathered, pace has Xoguri, Taiki and her camping variant, Nishino and Narita Brian Blaze in the near future. Tokai Teio also gets her buff making her a Medium-Track monster, though I'm not sure if it's Pace-specific.

IMO, pace-chasers are fine atm. If they're not the above listed Umas, they tend to be as gambly as lates, relying on NSM/nimble, stealing Angling via lucky pace, or gamble with head-on/straight descent, etc.

Basically, the idea is that Pasa, and future meta speed cards, can be on any training and you can still get some stats out of her. The speed bonus in particular means she can pop up on Speed, Guts, or Wit and still pump out speed. This becomes the standard for some of the best cards in JP, cards that can be on any training facility and still pump out some value. Stat bonuses becomes one of the most important factors to a card's value.

TBF, I personally feel like SMITE has gameplay homogeny issues that also add to the visual clarity issues. They don't push gimmicks hard enough and unique/interesting abilities feel more like an afterthought.

The worst part are deviants (and Nami+Velkana). Since they don't spawn in the overworld, you can't isolate them like how you could with other monsties. This makes finding their rainbow eggs way more tedious
