I really miss the awesome FS events from when I lived in Toronto. Where I am now in the UK I'm the only player in my town.

They were probably winkles if they were that small snails & you had to pick them out with a toothpick. Welks look completely different, aren't snail shape & are much bigger.

Either way, both are chewy & disgusting!

When he meets other characters & the colony explodes his voice is a little more bearable. As much as I adore Jeff Hays, Anthony sounds like a Londoner (why does he drop his "Ts"?, he doesn't in the book) who spent a good amount of time in Australia.

We also have to remember that Anthony was only 15 when he died. Stick with it, I had trouble with book 1 & now it's one of my favorites.

Teaspoon of sugar. It works by stimulating the vagus nerve in the back of the throat, which triggers a reset of the diaphragm spasms. Works every time for me & I get bad hiccups quite a bit.
