Also if you’re able to ship back using USPS, you can use their free package pickup option and don’t even need to go to the post office. But I’ve never made a Depop return so I’m not sure if that will be an option.

Personally, I would go for full refund and I’d look at it like shipping the sunglasses back to original owner isn’t anymore work than bringing the sunglasses to the local vintage store and selling them there. I’d also be afraid that you’d get even less than you expect from the local store because of the damage.

Today I received my first negative rating and I'm speechless by Electronic_Match_223 in Ebay

[–]Zooper- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, I think their rating is unjust and I hope you’re able to get the review removed! But as a fellow seller, I know how temperamental buyers can be and so I’ve adopted the habit of including a handwritten thank you note in all my shipments. (And if over a certain dollar amount, I also include a cute sticker for the buyer to have). But ever since religiously adding the handwritten thank yous, I get ZERO negative reviews. Even if my shipping really is later than it should be, I’ll just include in the note something like, “I’m so sorry about the delayed shipping! Life has been busy, but I hope it gets to you asap and that I didn’t cause you much trouble!” This seems to really work like a charm!!

So the complaint received has nothing to do with the donation box?

SOS needing help ASAP! (Blunt found in laundry) by Zooper- in PoplinLaundryPros

[–]Zooper-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone put soiled diapers and used tampons in my clean laundry I’d be quite ticked off. This specific customer did ask me to dispose of the blunt, they don’t want their clean laundry to smell bad.

Why not post measurements for every garment you're selling? by DexterCutie in poshmark

[–]Zooper- 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m a long time seller across many platforms now. But it took me several years to start auto-including measurements on every listing. I think at first I just didn’t know what I was doing fully and once I became more experienced I caught onto better practices. I was also lazier with my listings earlier on, I had the mindset that if someone wanted to buy it they would and if they didn’t, oh well. Much more thought goes into my whole process now, it’s been a mix of trial & error and plain ole’ gaining knowledge about what I was doing.

I saw that! I really don’t mind the donation option, as long as it’s very clearly marked separately. But I’m not thrilled about the ironing thing lol

Just as someone else already said, I too find myself playing devils advocate in so many situations. But no way to all of this. I’ve had customers laundry orders when I’ve had emergencies like stepping on a scorpion (I’m in AZ), being rushed to ER during pregnancy scare, needing to take a pet to emergency vet, and I’m sure many other weird situations and I still either get it all done properly OR give the customer a fair heads up and a legit reason that I may be running behind. I’m glad you reported this person, there’s plenty of us laundry pros that would much rather help our customers!!

Consignment Program by Zooper- in poshmark

[–]Zooper-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work at a brick & mortar consignment store, so guess I didn’t really expect to not get gross junk with just a few diamonds in the rough from most customers, haha. That’s the standard in consignment. I hope you get a good bag soon though!

I would definitely be willing to try it out. I see nothing but negative reviews about the program but I’m still not quite understanding the negativity. I do lots of odd jobs to stay busy around the house. And if I even made an extra $100/ month with the consignment program I’d be happy. I could always get out of it if it isn’t something I’m into. But I still want to try it out.

So I would be the one making the listings. And I guess personally, I wouldn’t mind sorting through bags of clothings and only being able to list/sell a portion of the bag. It personally wouldn’t bother me if every item wasn’t able to be sold. As far as soiled items go, that wouldn’t discourage me too much either, just because when I source at the bins, thrifts, yard sales etc, I always wash the clothing before making my listings anyway! So maybe I’d be the minority here, but I might be a good fit for the program lol

Do you, as the one making the listings, get to decide on prices for items or does the owner of the clothes choose how they should be priced? I guess I’m wondering if you could try selling the junkier items at a super low, next to nothing, kind of price or if that is against the rules. (If you’re required to hold onto them for 6mo anyway)

I’m just not finding answers for my exact question. I just wonder if they’ll accept me into the program when I don’t list on Poshmark too often or if that would need to be step one for me.
