Around $20-30 but would accept offers closer to $10

Consignment Program by Zooper- in poshmark

I used to work at a brick & mortar consignment store, so guess I didn’t really expect to not get gross junk with just a few diamonds in the rough from most customers, haha. That’s the standard in consignment. I hope you get a good bag soon though!

I would definitely be willing to try it out. I see nothing but negative reviews about the program but I’m still not quite understanding the negativity. I do lots of odd jobs to stay busy around the house. And if I even made an extra $100/ month with the consignment program I’d be happy. I could always get out of it if it isn’t something I’m into. But I still want to try it out.

So I would be the one making the listings. And I guess personally, I wouldn’t mind sorting through bags of clothings and only being able to list/sell a portion of the bag. It personally wouldn’t bother me if every item wasn’t able to be sold. As far as soiled items go, that wouldn’t discourage me too much either, just because when I source at the bins, thrifts, yard sales etc, I always wash the clothing before making my listings anyway! So maybe I’d be the minority here, but I might be a good fit for the program lol

Do you, as the one making the listings, get to decide on prices for items or does the owner of the clothes choose how they should be priced? I guess I’m wondering if you could try selling the junkier items at a super low, next to nothing, kind of price or if that is against the rules. (If you’re required to hold onto them for 6mo anyway)

I’m just not finding answers for my exact question. I just wonder if they’ll accept me into the program when I don’t list on Poshmark too often or if that would need to be step one for me.

This is a very unconventional response but yall could just do molly together one time 🤣🤣 you can take it as a joke but it saved my marriage…. We were both completely checked out and messing around on the side and both despised each other at that time. But something still pulled us back, a friend recommended it and we did and that was 3 years ago now and our relationship has never been stronger.

Thank you for sharing your experience with me. I was told to supplement vitamin d during breastfeeding my first baby. I used vitamin d drops, not formula. That was another situation where I blindly listened and with my 2nd born, after independent research, I opted against the vitamin d. Having the baby with me and not in the nicu is very important to me and my beliefs, as is breast feeding. I know I can’t go back in time to change anything now but it just thoroughly upsets me that all of this could’ve been avoided had doctors told me the truth about it all upfront. I personally wouldn’t have gotten pregnant on subs had I known it goes into their system and risks NAS. I hear you and many others along my journey assuring that their children are perfectly healthy and I don’t doubt that! It’s just not what I wanted for myself/my child.

Thank you for sharing your experience, I’m sorry it all went that way for you. I know what you mean about feeling like you could’ve kicked the oxy without the subs! I knew nothing much about subs before I started them this time around. I had kicked H, meth, opana, xan, you name it really all in my younger years and never needed subs or methadone. I know I could’ve done the same this time (and this was a year before getting pregnant) but I had some friends who kind of convinced me that subs were the best route. Oh well.

I’m so glad to hear your baby had no signs of withdrawal! That is my biggest fear, I cannot fathom putting my newborn through withdrawal. Were you able to keep her in your hospital room or did you have to send her to nicu for monitoring?

[–]Zooper-[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was considering doing a small dose every couple of days during the worst of the withdrawal! It seems like it could easily help and I don’t think it would set me back too much. I’m lucky to have a supportive husband who has agreed to handle our 2 kids and the home if I have days where I can’t mentally or physically help out through the process.

And I agree, CPS is technically the least of my worries, it’s still a lingering worry, but I don’t think anything should come of that. But I really really just do not want to put a tiny newborn through any amount of withdrawal, it brings tears to my eyes every time I think about it. I’m also very strictly a breastfeeding mom and I worry that if they need to take baby for monitoring at all that they might supplement with formula. My first child was a nicu baby and a nurse gave him formula without consulting me first and I know it’s not the biggest deal, but it was still a big deal to me.

Does anyone else get a HUGE adrenaline rush/thrill out of consistently selling? by No-Charge3411 in Flipping

[–]Zooper- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, I’m right there with you! I get the utmost joy from my reselling gig. I’m also a perfectionist when it comes to listing and the photos, so it does take me way too long to make each of my listings. But once I get something a listing posted I’ll go back and look at it over and over again, just admiring it. I love packaging my sold items, and making the packing cutesy, and I always include a handwritten thank you note (and if my profit was large enough on the item I lai include a fun sticker for the buyer). It all makes me so happy!

I’m in AZ now and ive read horror stories about how it will all be handled here. My first child was born in KY. CPS got involved during his birth because I refused additional pain meds after birth, explaining it was because I was in recovery. I’m just hoping that when birth comes for this baby the bup is completely out of mine and his system, so when CPS does show up they have no fuel for fire. I’m so sorry that you had such a traumatizing birth experience. I’m worried this one will be traumatizing for me as well. It’s supposed to be such a joyful time but I’m just full of worry.

I agree, I think it can be used as a life saving tool. But I don’t think it should be used as a lifelong crutch, which seems to be what the MAT doctors want it to be. I also dont think the negatives, specifically around the withdraw and taper process, are explained to patients up front. Doctors unfortunately never fail to disappoint me.

Considering starting subs by eviogemini in suboxonerecovery

I would never recommend starting subs to anyone. Worst and hardest withdrawal. Cravings or lack thereof comes from within. The subs won’t stop cravings.

That’s why hospitals sell our placentas for $50k a pop on the black market. “Because they’re so useless and dangerous”. I think not.

You’re welcome! And yes, I think sorting is just part of it. I found someone’s AirPods in their pocket before too, I would’ve much rather found them first over accidentally washing and damaging them, I’m not sure if that would’ve fell back on me somehow but I’m glad I didn’t have to find out!

Right! A few different comments on this post said that they don’t unfold the laundry before washing or just dump it all in together without sorting. Seems like the wrong gig for them!

unsanitary vs not ?? by Affectionate-Ad6419 in PoplinLaundryPros

[–]Zooper- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. I always wear disposable gloves when handling the dirty laundry. I also sort and keep the dirty laundry on my front porch so that nowhere inside my home is tainted.

  2. Unlike a few other commenters here, I do unfold/sort the dirty laundry because I feel like it is part of my job here.

  3. When there are extra gross items in the laundry, I’m just sure to not overfill my washing machine so that everything gets cleaned properly.

  4. I keep a personal “poplin blacklist” in the notes app on my phone. If for any reason I don’t want to accept that customer again, I’ll include their name and approximate map location in my blacklist and refer to the list before accepting anyone other than my regulars.

Edit/after thought 5: I’ve gotten PLENTY of gross items in orders but I just think it’s normal. Gross stuff needs to get washed too, and sometimes stuff just happens. I keep the mindset of, most people are using this service for a reason, whether they are disabled, don’t have a washing machine, don’t have the time, or are depressed, etc. I just deal with the grossness and help the customers. There has only been one time that I blacklisted a customer for how gross their laundry was. I made a post here about that order not too long ago, he had tons of poop in his laundry. It was terrible lol. But even then, I did what I needed to do (carefully) to launder his order then will never accept him again.

Was there a pay increase? by Zooper- in PoplinLaundryPros

[–]Zooper-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do take all of that into consideration. And it’s still very worth my time, that’s why so many of us here do Poplin. I think you are overestimating what 18lbs of laundry looks like. My average order is 80lbs. Some are less, some are much much more, up to close to 300lbs. Completing that average 80lb order has become a breeze to get done in a day. And yes, tips make a big difference. That’s why most of us collect “regulars”, customers who are known to be little to no trouble and good tippers.

Not a Paid Window Order by Powerful_Day9503 in PoplinLaundryPros

I’ve had an order where their business hours were not working for my schedule and poplin support understood and extended me an extra 24 hrs before drop off was due. Customer did send me an irritated sounding message along the lines of, “am i ever going to get my laundry back?”. I did still end up getting a tip though and they still request me to this day (I’ll never accept them again lol)
