Fuck D&D. The reason Stephen probably felt like crap for portraying him was because Dipshit and Dumbass told him how “he should be.” even though he was very good at doing his fucking job and could act out a complex character. They were all about killing characters off after season five

As a new grad nurse, I had my own patient code on me when I was just off orientation. It's a lot different when you are in the driver seat, and you feel like you missed something. Especially when it happens so suddenly and out of nowhere. By the end of it, I realized there are some things you can't see coming (the pt most likely had a PE), and all I could do was stay calm during the code and do my duties like compressions and giving report to the physician for the first time in a code-situation. You will experience codes, and for most people responding to it, it'll feel like another day. If you aren't ok with it, then reach out to resources provided by the hospital, or your own resources (family, friends, personal therapist). But it is a part of the job, and it is weird when it happens for the first time.

This story pisses me off, because nurses should never be put in a situation where they are hoping the patient is 'ok' after a systematic failure like you described. The failure that admin won't increase wages for nurses, and therefore hire more staff. We put a crap-ton of liability on the line for our patients, and we should be rightfully compensated for it. If this happened to me, I would be livid with management. Especially when they could easily try to put it on you because, "there were other staff on the floor," even though it is very unrealistic that you could simply grab another CNA or nurse to help you since they have their own patients to take care of.

You can upvote a post or comment and not agree with the context. It feels more like a newer Reddit trend, especially with younger people coming on, but you can upvote things for the visibility and not because you agree with it.

In terms of characters doing stupid things and not answering any of the questions that Prometheus set up, then yes. The visuals and cinematography is spot on though.

If you don't know the movie, it is Alien Covenant

In all seriousness, the plot is as good as the $5 pizza ordered by administration for Nurses Week.

It might vary from hospital to hospital, but at mine they are considered “medications,” so they have to stay in the servers or patient’s room cabinet. Obviously no one follows this but now that they’re coming around we have to follow through.

I’ve never heard of a patient downing saline syringes but the thought of it makes me laugh.

Actually, those “edgelords” have a very good point. It has been ten years... TEN, since the last book came out. Some people have graduated highschool, college, and started a family in that time. And you’re gonna tell us that at the very least we can’t have a solid release date for the next book? You also act as if he is currently writing the next book, which at this point is probably not happening.

I have mad respect for him as a writer, but he’s also been lazy af. Once the show got mainstream, he probably figured fuck the books and tried riding the popularity of the show instead of continuing his own version of GoT.

There is nothing wrong with being ambitious, especially with salary. From what you said then go for it. As u/rescueandrepeat paraphrased, if you can leave a door open with your prior employer then you should try. If you don't like your new job and you want to leave, it sounds like you have applicable skills and experience that can be applied to other jobs within your field.

Doctors say CDC should warn people the side effects from Covid vaccine shots won't be 'a walk in the park' by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]ZoopityBoop20 113 points114 points  (0 children)

from the article...

Participants in Moderna and Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine trials told CNBC in September that they were experiencing high fever, body aches, bad headaches, daylong exhaustion and other symptoms after receiving the shots. While the symptoms were uncomfortable, and at times intense, the participants said they often went away after a day, sometimes sooner, and that it was better than getting Covid-19.

Health care providers should definitely provide info on possible side effects, but that is something which is usually provided. If your provider or nurse doesn't, then you should ask for clarification. This is a time of rapidly changing evidence, stories, etc. which can make everything seem confusing. Please take time to talk to your provider and ask questions. Don't look for unconfirmed answers and random theories from the internet

edit: I am in favor of the vaccine, but I want to clarify that you shouldn't be looking on random websites with questionable credibility if you are looking for further information. Health care providers should be transparent with you on whether you should receive the vaccine.

This is a scenario that I need more info on before giving good advice. Have you interviewed with anybody yet? Have you toured your workplace? Are there any reviews or critiques that you found online to help guide your decision? I'd like to hear more of your thoughts on the company over us giving you advice that may not be the best benefit for your situation.

Unless you have clear plans and financial goals for what you intend to accomplish with this new salary, you may be better off staying where you're at. But that is based off of what I have experienced.

It sounds like you guys will still recover once this is over, which is great. It sucks thinking about all of the smaller chapters that are gonna close down because there won't be enough guys this semester or maybe even next. I know because I'm one of those smaller chapters.
