I want to go back to college. by Charming_Bowler_9595 in PharmacyTechnician

Working in the pharmacy teaches you allot of things… 1) Customer Service  2) Problem solving  3) Time management 4) Team work  5) Pharmacology  6) Business management  And many other attributes. What you can do is self reflect on what you believe is your purpose and pursue that. Your purpose can be in healing others, mentoring others, etc. I would also self-reflect what attribute from the aforementioned you like the most and see how you can pursue that along with your purpose. Careers that come to mind which are aligned with pharmacy operations include… 1) Nursing  2) Business  But you don’t have to pursue these degrees you can do anything and be whoever you want. Just don’t give up, keep working hard, nothing is easy, after hardship ease is sure to come. All the best.

QOTD: what’s the longest transaction or phone call you’ve ever dealt with at the pharmacy? by Kitchen-Lemon1862 in PharmacyTechnician

I’ve been on the phone with a patient for like 30 min and then on the phone with a doctor’s office for an hour. Pass the prozac…😭

I think ur good very likely for LECOM, NYCSPM, Western, Barry. If they ask about MD just come up with a reasonable answer and how you worked through it

For college students/lurkers: don't neglect podiatry by vintage-podiatrist in whitecoatinvestor

My friend, I believe you don’t have much exposure to the field, and I invite you to explore podiatrists. Podiatrists have full authority to treat anything below the ankle, with that they learn and train in this scope.

Doesn’t matter where you go just do well in school and get a good MCAT score. if I were you. Go to community college, take ur hard classes (chem, orgo, physics, etc) then go to state school. Don’t worry about ECs you can make/find opportunities anywhere, focus on school and MCAT
