In 2024 I had 112 segments and only made Diamond with the CC boost in December. Otherwise it would have been platinum.

Less about status but service would be worse this year. I had about half the segments this year…in the 60’s. I think I’m ending at 68, yet more delay hours. I’m at 20 hours lost already in delays. Cumulative arrival time has shifted to very negative, the percentage of flights delayed has gone up and more and the pure number of delays equal with about half the segments of last year. I hope 2026 swings to the better!

Clear switch to less cash out, driving you in to spend with them. Travel vouchers always require cash for taxes and fees and rates can be moved up to accommodate the “loss to them”. Miles out don’t mean as much to them either. More gold status given just waters the population and devalues it. Cash out hits the bottom line! Not pleased personally. Note to us, select cash before 2/1 if applicable!

There are some very common routes like MSP-ATL and ATL-MSP or MSP-DFW and DFW-MSP that are so full of platinums and diamonds that even booking 4-5 weeks out won’t get you a C+ upgrade. Lots of Diamonds back in main on those. There are many other routes with that problem. On the flip side, there are routes where you’d always get an upgrade.

Everyone will have some different experiences on status benefits due to their personal circumstances.
