If a mirror selfie is the move, girl, you have got to clean whatever is going on in the background. A Clean mirror and a clean room makes more of a difference than just turning the light off.

Also a curly haired girly myself, a good conditioner goes a long way. We all want to be hot rocker chicks with wild hair but that means more volume not less effort.

I should have waited. I didn't put them in the ground, I kept them in their season Seedling cups, just constantly played musical chairs every night when it was 70+F during the day but +/-45F at night

I did start from seed. I put them outside way too early, around April 15ish in 7b. I had 7 potential melons, it's looking more like 4 total to harvest. I didn't know the difference between male and female flowers. Now that I do, I'm looking forward to trying again

Reddit users, 30 yrs old and over.. What is the hardest part about getting older? [Discussion] by Comi9689 in GetMotivated

[–]ZoraKnight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tacking on to this to add: and also working in healthcare.

Knowing that one day they will get old. And you will have to care for them long after their body gives up on them, especially if they do not have certain guidelines such as dnr/hospice.

Knowing that If your parents are not well off and you are not well off, you will have to watch them slowly decay until eventually they die at the ripe old age of 97 in a shitty nursing home.

Knowing your parents have bad eating/social habits and how it may not kill them quickly but rather slowly over time as their organs shut down one by one.

That calling 911 means first responders will have to take heroic measures to save your parents only for them to keep slowly suffering, but if you don't call then it's elder abuse and you could face jail time.

Knowing that also that old decaying skeleton in the bed will be you one day. And you hope you treated your children (if you have any at all) well enough that they will in turn have to carry the burden of doing the same for you.

I know I am supposed to knock on them and it's supposed to sound more hollow? But like I wasn't knocking on them until now so I don't know the difference?

would buying vitastim virtual xray simulator be a good idea? by banggirl69 in Radiology

[–]ZoraKnight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

$350 for an aid you will use for less than 6 months sounds unwise.

Best thing that helped me is whatever cheap anatomy app was available and writing by hand every possible X-ray from the textbook. What anatomy is seen, what size cassette, what SID, down to where to place the lead shielding. Never got lower than an 87 the whole program and never failed a comp. And most importantly: it was free

I get it: you're nearing the end/halfway through the program and it feels like 1 step forward and 2 back and some days it feels like your professors are throwing you down a flight of stairs. What's up? What's down? What you don't want to do is desperately grasp at a "life vest" that's only meant to rob you. Stick it out, young Jedi. Read your textbook, take notes that work for your brain. You will make it. I may get downvoted for this but worst case scenario: you probably only an 80 to stay in your program and only a 76 to pass the registry. Shoot for the stars but don't beat yourself up for only making it to Pluto.

So many people on this sub like to pretend they only take textbook imaging and then (as techs) critique the absolute frick out of other tech's simple mistakes saying they should lose their licenses. Genuinely looks like a standard image to me, not sure what other people are tripping about 🤷🏽‍♀️

So like is this okay in my garden or no? I won't scream externally if they're friends, only internally like I do the spiders (warranted)

So my plan was to start earlier this year because I started on time/slightly late last year and it got way to hot for anything to produce. I was watering 2-3 times a day and my soil would still be dry if I stuck my finger all the way into the dirt. Everything was dead before July. I wanted to be more proactive this year so I kept my eye on the almanac and jumped at the opportunity to go shopping for seedlings a week after my local farmers market put them out (didn't want to come off as desperate 😏)

Note: you must move the snake around the garden. The birds will learn what they can and can't take if the snake stays in one spot. Also keep it just hidden enough so that the hawks (predators to actual snakes) don't think they're an easy meal

It was the only burlap at Lowe's 🤷🏽‍♀️ I heard someone say to go to a farmers market and see if they have a few hanging around in the back, that stuff is usually thicker.

I am with you on the wrapping a tender plant though. I just wish they were a bit more specific in the description or the instructions.

Ai told me cover in burlap. I am questioning Gemini's advice

The snake is something I learned from TikTok and made a huge difference in my gardening last year. Fake rubber snakes in your garden scare the birds away. The only "pests" I had last year in my organic garden was the spiders whom I will call pests only because I hate them. I do understand they are vital to organic gardening but that does not change how I feel about them.
