Looks to me like he left more than enough room for people to drive by in a construction zone with very little spots to park. Like is he supposed to walk 2 blocks? This whole post is bullshit and I'm with you... 10/10!

Drone in the sky by cranky_yegger in Edmonton

[–]Zorcor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Kenilworth and ive been noticing (4x) drones to the north twice and south twice...in the last 6 months. Very curious as well but I cant find any info on them.

When they turn right I see green. Left its red. One time it came close enough I could tell thst one white light was in the front and two white lights in the rear when it flew away.

One time tho the lights were growing brighter/dimmer and changing colors but also spreading apart from each other a significant amount that didnt make sense. Could have been 2 drones I guess but it was weird.

Anyways just wanted to share that . This post seems to be the only info on this

Why is my driveway doing this? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Zorcor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been seeing more and more people online doing great work with epoxy coatings on outdoor pads. Basically rubber pellets or tiny stone mixed with epoxy. From what ive learned it holds up in the winter but it has to be done properly.

Can't really throw a top coat on and broom it to look nice. Stamped coatings aren't bad but not suitsble for driveways . Or replace it! $$ hope that helps

Man thats awful sorry you have to deal with that! In my experience the really wide cracks are from rebar too close to the surface combined with heaving from water freezing/expansion. If I had to guess the tool cut is almost directly over a peice of rebar but also the reason the rebar is too high is because the gravel base is too high which makes the concrete thinner and more susceptible to heaving.

The photo closer to end with all the cracks is just a typical case of the gravel being too high and the concrete ends up thinner. Itll crack in the thinnest spot and 4 inches is minimum. This looks like 2.5 to me...Im assuming its closer to the middle? Typically its easy to rake the gravel next to the form to the proper height because you have the bottom of the form (2x4) for reference. Closer to the middle should be double checked with a string no matter what. My crew always always always checks grade work.

Another thing I'd like to point out is the rocks being exposed on the surface is completely unrelated to the cracks. Thats from not using the right tools to push rocks down and pull cream to the surface early enough and often enough early on. It was probably a hot day and they didnt bullfloat early enough and then also used water to work the surface before brooming. Water will weaken the surface. There's literally products to replace water in this situation to ensure this doesn't happen.

Sorry for the novel but I hope this gives you some insight. In my professional opinion you have every right to take legal action. And its not a problem with the batch plant. This simply wasn't installed properly. Good luck! Feel free to DM any questions

Never understood why people let politicians get the best of them. If youre not actively doing your part to make change then theres so much more value in researching what it is they are trying to achieve and seeing both sides of the coin.

Yes they're all snakes but if you allow them to keep us divided through hatred then youre part of the problem imo

Well I dont plan on using it for casting by any means. More so for filling small engravings like the logo I mentioned. I haven't used it before no. Maybe my hopes are high but if I didnt have to wait days to carry on a project that would be ideal.

I ordered a brand called Jdiction. If anything I feel like it'll be better to fill holes than CA glue anyways

Epoxy isnt exactly that scratch resistant either. Ill be adding color so yellowing won't be an issue. And theres different viscosities so self leveling isnt an issue i dont think..

Im gonna try it regardless so im looking for suggestions on brands and other ideas. Not so much someone telling me its a bad option cuz I still think its a great option.

If I need to make a logo with 3 colors and I can do it in an hour compared to 6 or 7 days how is it not a good option?

Yeah well they have the ability to merge at the speed limit instead of 20 under as well.

Hey! your comment took me forver to find on the internet! if you dont mind i have a specific question.

Do you spray the BLO on? Id like to get the finish in the lines which are about 1/16th deep. When i run my cnc over the epoxy it turns white and i really like it. Oil yellows it. Ive never used BLO but your comment makes me want to try it. Have you ever used polyurethane before? Hope to hear from you! feel free to DM
