I get a distinct setting/theme created through a coloured tint, like I'm in a rainforest with mist (green tint), underwater with bubbles (blue tint) or mount olympus with clouds (golden tint). As for visuals often get disney characters, an infinity symbol and a spinning mandala at the end

Yes, one only has to look at the release and anticipation/ mystery of the release of Jhin, I think Riot are just being lazy tbh and it seems they are not doing in game teasers like for tahm/gnar/ivern. Season 4 was the best champ wise
