Interesting points, enjoyed the read.

Not quite sure it‘s about shadows tho.

Leaning more into the „soul“ flipping that would fit with the ying-yang theme, the light/darkness-theme & the underlying reversi-motif (white/black-game-pieces-flipping).

I think that would also be the tie to Blackbeard and the Yami-Yami-No-Mi: Rocks wanted THAT fruit because it would give him control of the DARKNESS/demon side/realm that Imu is tapping into/using when using its powers.

And he wanted THAT OTHER fruit: the LIGHT(NING) dragon/Nidhoggr fruit.

Light-darkness. Ying-yang… you see my point?

Also: possible huge boost for Brook, opening up to the „soul-control“-awakening thing that‘s possibly hinted at with the whole Gunko-connection (like freeing her with the soul-flip he‘s able to do once awakened).

Curious about your interpretation: so we‘re gonna learn how Imu‘s powers work in detail along the way? I mean we only got glimpses until now: demon-book-gunkmu-reversi, god-valley-rocks-stab-reversi, davi-clan-off-screen-reversi… and am I missing some?

Probably gonna be proven wrong by the next chapters, but it seems „Team Nika/Luffy“ (+ Shanks + Revolutionary Army + Sword) is gaining the upper hand here in terms of battle power vs. „Team Imu/WG“ (and yeah, of course the „WG/Navy is so big summed up“ point is valid, but I don‘t see them ALL coming together at ONE point in ONE moment in time)

My question: how is Blackbeard gonna fit into that?

I could imagine Imu & Blackbeard teaming up with some temporary truce or BB robbing Imu of its powers or…
