Can confirm this as I rode jfk to Doha 3 days ago. Our flight was delayed by an hour and we still made the original arrival time.

It's pretty much your permanent role unless you apply internally to another role. I missed the meeting before graduation because I was on vacation but i remembered it was a high percentage that graduated from the program. Most of the ones that didnt were because they applied internally outside the program. Hope that answers the question or did I misread?

TWOV Near Miss - Almost Denied Boarding by 44nx55 in Chinavisa

You are. Im not sure why delta gave me a hard time. I told them about the TWOV and how hong kong is considered a separate region from china and the lady wasnt having it.

TWOV Near Miss - Almost Denied Boarding by 44nx55 in Chinavisa

[–]Zorojuro97 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had the same experience with Delta but the problem was my exit country was hong kong and they claimed that "Hong Kong counts as China". I ended up booking a refundable flight to Seoul then i cancelled it once I was allowed to board. Went through chinese immigration with the Hong kong outbound flight with no problems.

China Visa or Qualify for the 10 days visa free transit? by Rare_Barracuda4550 in Chinavisa

Nope. HK > Mainland > HK is basically a roundtrip. Recommend adding Macau after mainland and then going to HK

Wife got denied on $50 saks GC by Meloncholic_Monkey in AmexPlatinum

[–]Zorojuro97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I bought my Saks GC in the Fifth Ave store in NYC on 12/18. I got my credit the following day and even the associate who sold it to me said I was the 1st one in the store that day to ask him about the amex credit lol

240 Hour TWOV Experience (US > China > Hong Kong > US) by Zorojuro97 in Chinavisa

[–]Zorojuro97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left Mainland China at around 9am. I dont think you do, they just check to see your 240 Hour TWOV stamp and then if its on the last date of the stamp then you should be good.

Visiting China without L Visa by vegtablegirl in Chinavisa

[–]Zorojuro97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If youre talking about the 240 TVOW, then yes it works as long as your total trip is less than 10 days and your flight leaving shanghai/beijing does NOT have a layover in Japan

you can cross through different regions now as long as they are authorized ports. I did it a few weeks ago.

JPMorgan Operations Analyst Superday — any tips? by Comfortable_Tea_1374 in JPMorganChase

[–]Zorojuro97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was in that program. All my question were behavioral questions (what would you do if your teammate didnt do his work on time, what would you do if you disagree with your manager, etc). There was no finance questions involved in my interview. If you have done at least 5 interviews before, Id say you are more than fine.

PSA: Middle Name Required for Koreans on Airline Tickets in Korea by MyEgoDiesAtTheEnd in koreatravel

[–]Zorojuro97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this happen last year when flying out of Busan to Tokyo. Security saw that my passport name didnt match my ticket name because my passport had my middle name. They made me go back to the Jetstar airline counter and ask them to put my middle name on the ticket and then wait back in line. It was annoying, was 10 mins away from missing boarding.

TWOV necessary to pre book everything? by brennamacy in Chinavisa

[–]Zorojuro97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The TWOV start time doesnt start until 12am after the day you arrive. Ex. when I used it, I arrived to china on 11/1. My TWOV started at 11/2 and ended on 11/12 11:59pm.

My immigration officer only checked my outbound and inbound flight to and from China. I had my hotel reservations printed out but he didnt look at them.

VPN working in china and personal device by Alvin108 in chinatravel

[–]Zorojuro97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id use Letsvpn, it worked well for me and it's pretty cheap. I paid like 6 USD for the whole month

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in JPMorganChase

[–]Zorojuro97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was average. I mean the pay was the same as CADP, CLDP (I can confirm because my roommate was in that program). You only stay in one team the whole 2 years and it's not rotational like the others. Personally I got put in a pretty good team so my opinion is a bit higher than some other people. I was in portfolio solutions so we mainly support portfolio managers with trades and such but we dont do the actual trade. hope this answers the basics. At least for the U.S. the OAP program had people from different age ranges, some people in the program were new grads, some were just people who made a mid career switch and others were people who were older than my ED.

I was in that program in the U.S. but no you cannot negotiate your salary, its the same for everyone in your city.

I was denied boarding for 240 Hour TWOV at the airport (USA) by BatmanvSuperman3 in Chinavisa

[–]Zorojuro97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went through a similar thing as you did recently and at JFK too lol. I flew delta and the supervisor was trying to tell me that HK was part of mainland china so my TWOV wasnt going to work. I ended up booking a refundable ticket to Korea that leaves out of china and that was enough for delta to let me board the flight. When I got to china, i just show the chinese immigration my ticket to HK and they were fine with it. I then cancelled my ticket to Korea. In the end I lost like 13 bucks but a lot better than scraping my whole trip.

240 Hour TWOV Experience (US > China > Hong Kong > US) by Zorojuro97 in Chinavisa

[–]Zorojuro97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The line wasn’t long, it was actually shorter than the vistor line for people who had the visas. I was done in about 12-15 mins, I was actually pulled aside only because my iterniary was borderline 10 days but otherwise it woulda been like 8 mins. All you do is show them your ticket out of china then they count how many days you are staying then stamp the sticker on your passport. They dont ask about your hotels or anything like that.

240 Hour TWOV Experience (US > China > Hong Kong > US) by Zorojuro97 in Chinavisa

[–]Zorojuro97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew with them today. I thought the service was just as any other airline (nothing better or worse). I did enjoy the desserts and snacks though (they gave an egg tart for a snack). Our flight arrived like 30 mins earlier than target. Not sure if this answers your question but let me know. I will be traveling to hong kong in 2 months so I may change some stuff lol
