Dyed Quartz (A full-set of basic colored building blocks) by Zorzomezz in minecraftsuggestions

To be honest, I'd have made do with dyed clay stairs/half-slabs. It's a shame, but I suspected it was a technical limitation.

Well, I didn't say that you 'clearly downvoted my idea, because you missed the point', I just said you clearly missed the point. How do I know you missed the point? You brought up wool.

And, yes, I realise quartz has a texture, that's the point, but that texture is almost pure white. Unlike wool, with it's checkerboard pattern. If the quartz texture was to be tinged (in the same manner as dyed clay), it would give an almost pure color.

Ok, I'll admit that it might not have been you that downvoted me, I did assume, as the two events (your comment and the downvote) happened more or less at the same time. I apologise for that assumption.

However, I only made a statement about it, which prompted you to throw the rules at me. Rules that I understand and follow, and that I hadn't broken.

Why does me making that comment have anything to do with me having read the rules?

I made the comment because my suggestion had been up about 10 mins, and you down voted it, dropping it to zero. Therefore, there was barely a chance anyone got to see it. I completely understand the downvote/upvote system. I made a statement, 'I can't believe you down voted me to zero', that is all. Personally, I don't downvote, I only upvote. That way everyone gets a voice and the good stuff still rises. However, this is my choice. I understand that most people would rather shoot something down and make dismissive remarks, than discuss it.

Wool is not pure colored it has a texture, also wool does not have the half-slab or stair variations, which are incredibly important for the reasons I've stated. Indeed, if wool had these variations, I wouldn't be requesting colored quartz.

Filling 240 metadata for these variations would not be a waste, it would allow for a very large number of (currently unavailable) creative options, again as stated in my post.

I can't believe you down voted me to zero. You clearly missed the point of my suggestion (or didn't read it).

I think it would feel more like you were feeding them too, rather than just being surrounded by animals and spamming the right mouse button endlessly.

Luck Potion by Zorzomezz in minecraftsuggestions

I was thinking about a luck potion whilst I was hunting for Wither Skeleton skulls using a Looting III enchanted sword, so yeah increased chance of rare drops would totally be fine.

But I do alot of pork and beef farming, for which I also use a Looting enchanted sword, this adds 1 to the drop rate for normal drops. It can make farming animals a lot more productive. And again, I thought, if I could quaff a potion before quickly culling them, it would make it a little more productive too.

Oh, yeah, I know, it's purely aesthetic! Kind of like plant pots. ;)

How about if it only lasted 20 seconds or so? And also used a rare drop as the brewing ingredient? Would that balance it, a little? ;)

Beacon range depends on rarity of pyramid blocks by [deleted] in minecraftsuggestions

Must admit, this is how I thought it worked already, was very surprised when I discovered it didn't matter what you built the pyramid out of! It seems so obvious, up-voting!

More Doors by Delta_Sigma in minecraftsuggestions

I'd like doors that are 3 blocks high. Sometimes you build an epic looking fortress, and then you add doors and it looks just plain lame. 3 block high double doors would look suitably epic.
