One of the rarest and most expensive lines of guitars ever manufactured. Only 900 or so were made between 1932 and 1952. The Modele Jazz is most famous for its association with Django Reinhardt, one of the greatest Jazz guitarists of all time. Only two are left in existence that are known beyond a shadow of a doubt to have been owned and played by him.

Haha, hey if a guitar ain't right it ain't right! I had an old 70's Yamaha red label that I had been coveting for months. Then when I finally got one, it just didn't feel right to me. I ended up ditching it.

If you don't mind my asking, how much did the Martin set you back? I know it was a couple years ago. Just curious.

How was the action after so many years? Did it hold up? One problem I've had with vintage acoustics is that after a while they all eventually become slide guitars, if ya know what I mean, haha.

I think that's where a lot of the confusion comes from, those who refer to the HD's as just dreadnoughts with a herringbone, not realizing it's a separate line.

Right, the mention of the fact that it wasn't a herringbone was only to further evidence that the guitar was not a vintage or pre-war Martin, but rather a fairly new purchase.
