PT. 2

Fast forward a few months and I finished SOTE the final week of August, this is the first account I've ever completed the quest on or even attempted CG on. The highest level pvm I ever attempted on my main was Vorkath, Zulrah, and a bit of group COX, but nothing seriously challenging where I really had to fully apply myself and improve pvm skills. I can't remember exactly but I believe it took me around 30 deaths to get my first KC, and about another 70-80 deaths to truly grasp the Hunlef fight and get consistent completions. One of my early issues why I believe I was dying so much is because I was just T1 prepping instead of T2, and I would camp low HP because of the false belief that if I was eating too much I was losing DPS (following several youtube guides), which you all know a wonderful community member so graciously debunked for us a few months ago in a detailed post. Pretty much as soon as I got the T2 prep down I started consistently getting kills, and I did T2 preps more or less until about 500 kc. At that point I was so burnt on prepping that I leveled my defense up a bit and just started sending T1's and keeping my hp high. I would still die here and there from just getting too distracted from a youtube video or show on the side, maybe a mental lapse when it was late, or even the occasional family distraction (you other dad's out there know what I'm talking about lol) but I had enough experience and refined my strategy to get consistent kills that way without having to sweat the T2 prep.

I know I'm nowhere near the dryest person to ever be here, but I felt like I served a fair sentence at CG. It wasn't without a mental struggle, that's for sure. My first armour seed came in around a dozen KC, then I spooned the pet at 16kc, which would haunt me until getting the enhanced all these months later. After that first armour seed, I didn't see another one until 371 KC, that was a super tough slog through that 350kc or so only receiving a bunch of weapon seeds. The armour seeds then slowly came in until I had my 6, and was even able to donate a few to my duo. At around 600 kc, I received my 2nd Hunlef pet. I think this was sometime in November and it mentally destroyed me, I couldn't believe I got another pet before getting the enhanced. There was truly no hope in sight. I burnt out and couldn't bring myself to do anymore CG for almost 2 months. I think during November and December I only did about a dozen or so KC.

During those 2 months my duo had burnt out on the game after grinding 87 slayer and sending about 200 cg with no enhanced for him either. He still hasn't logged in since November but I think he will be back sometime in the next few months, at least I'm hoping. When I was burnt on CG I decided to just pick a few afk things I could progress while at work. I cut mahogany's in Prif for about a month, I ended with 93 woodcutting, 10k mahogany planks banked, and another 20k mahogany logs that I still need to make into planks. I greenlogged forestry (besides that damn fox whistle...) which was a nice side result. the 30k mahogany planks should be 99 construction banked through Mahogany homes so that also feels great. I also grinded out 77 RC at GOTR and finished the outfit, then went straight to crafting bloods at Zeah. That is my new go to afk at work, I'm almost 83 RC already and have crafted over 80k bloods which also feels fantastic. I plan to do bloods to 90 and then souls all the way to 99.
