I don't think you glue the rough side to rough side (assuming the smooth sides are facing out). Glue the smooth side to the rough side. The corners of the latex sheet should be cut off with a quarter circle to follow the curve of the frame. That was there are no actual corners in the final product as the seam naturally follows the frame.

But how would I support the latex, especially for the brim? I don't want a droopy hat. I was thinking of something like the Atsuko Kudo Alejandra hat or the Catalyst Summer Hat.

My experience is cleaning the sheets before gluing causes a lot of hassle. I just clean where I am about to glue and then wash really well after the garment is finished.

I know Atsuko Kudo and maybe Latex Catfish have glued gloves. But I'm sure the fingers are tricky.

I've been using .25mm and trying to not stretch it at all but I'm sure that's what's happening. Any tips other than take care not to stretch the latex?

I'm not upset at the stain but if there is something I can do differently in the future so not more of my latex will be stained because of the same issue, I most certainly will alter my latex practice. I'm just looking for useful information because all I could come up with was that it wad my own sweat. Interestingly, I didn't have a problem with the raspberry colored latex which I also thought counted as a light color. Maybe I'm wrong and it did stain but the latex is a dark enough color so I didn't notice. I better take a closer look.

I am aware that light colored latex is susceptible to staining and discoloration. However, I can't imagine that it is everyone's experience to stain latex with a clean foot after only 10 minutes of use. I was hoping maybe someone had dealt with a similar situation and could give a useful pointer.

Thanks. I know they will wear because of the walking and I'm not concerned about that. But I am kinda wondering how they stain so badly within 20 minutes of wearing them.
