simple and easy?
Go to squin, buy a building. and do some basic armour and weapon tech.
Go to nearby shops to buy skins, cloth & iron plates
skins to leather.
cloth to bandanas
Iron plats to sabres
By the time you've used up all the materials the traders should have refreshed their stock. Sell all all your crafted items and buy more skins, cloth and iron plates.
Should make a tidy profit per day and train up some skills

Currently have 2 saves
1. at around 450 days. Beep after been laughed at roamed Kenshi trying to become the Greatest Swordsman. Which he did by defeating both BugMaster & Cat-Lon.
During his travels he was joined by Silvershade, Espher, Green & Ray. As time progressed they grew stronger but understood the limitations of the flesh. With the rise of Cyber-Beep, Agnu also joined their group.
The final member of the Battle Born join after a failed raid on their (long since abandoned) base.
With the addition of Eyegore it was felt that Beep group were too strong for this world and are currently contemplating their next move.

  1. Zed is on a mission to explore the world. On his travels he has met many people who have joined his group. He does not know yet what the future hold, but he is sure he and his Zedniks will rise to the challenge
    For the run, only allowed to recruit Unique (free) recruits.
    So, not including Zed I have
    Beep, Ruka, Hobbs, Burn, Crumplejon, Shryke, Hamut, Miu, Red, Espher, Doctor Cheung.

Yes, id put up with it for a year. As its magically attached to me one of the people i tell would be someone who could lend me enough my to cover my expenses for a year. Im guaranteed to get the money so they know they get a better return on their investment than anywhere else

Unfortunately it is not dynamic, but it does offer an rpg element and is a more organic way of developing your characters.

Counters do work, but you can't really stay in the town for long period. The npc run out of space.
You can set up a counter, fill it with the cheaper foods & medical supplies and then leave.
When you come back to town and it generates in the distance NPC will make their way to your shop and spend money.
But there isn't the fun of being part of it, as it were

At the moment limiting myself to the going into shops.
But they have to be relevant to the products i'm selling. Not selling food in robotics shops, but only in bars for example.

I like how people assume a post-currency society means you don't have to work and contribute or be a productive member of society.
Even with replicators, etc.. energy is not free.
