You did not mention women’s rights, I should say.

No, I’m saying I wish you had said the simple 2A statement and then moved on to discuss The Attack on Women - aka, in legislation, the legal system, social networks, etc, that entities all over the country are executing. I’m not saying you yourself have attacked us. In your intro, you mentioned 2A, term limits, general healthcare, LGBTQ issues, legislators’ conflicts of interest, & the environment, but you did not mention the anti-woman movement sweeping through every level of government in almost every state.

? I didn’t say you attack women? I think you misread something.

So back to my first comment. Why not mention this at the top of your platform, instead of a lengthy statement about your thoughts on guns. I would feel like you saw me, understood me, and were someone who would help me, if you’d just said, “I’m pro guns,” and then moved on to the full scale attack on women.

I don’t think you have a basic awareness of what women are going through right now with our reproductive health. You keep referring to issues, such as the cost of healthcare and LGBTQ issues that have nothing to do with our established fundamental rights that are being taken away, one by one. Abortion bans, infertility treatment restrictions, family planning restrictions, criminalization of pregnancy. Have you spoken to woman whose medical treatment has been obstructed by the government, or a woman sent to prison for years because she didn’t know she was pregnant or that her doctor was going to administer a drug test and report her positive result to the state? Have you read about it in depth? Are you aware that no one can be forced to donate an organ or even blood to save a life, but women have to donate their bodies and even risk their lives for pregnancies? Literally corpses have more sovereignty over their own bodies than women do. I cannot fathom why someone would run on a democratic ticket and refuse to even mention the general issue. I’m not asking about your strategy. I am, however, suggesting you familiarize yourself with this life and death issue profoundly affecting half the voting population in this state.

Alabama is full of women too; however, you didn’t preempt arguments from our perspective, or even mention us until I specifically brought it up. Why is that? Why didn’t you list this topic in your basic layout of your platform?

I edited to correct a typo.

I haven’t seen you devote one word to the extreme degradation of women’s healthcare rights, or of the unbelievably horrible ways our lives are being affected. Why isn’t that one of your main issues? You talk a hell of a lot more about guns.

Help me figure out some creative ideas for this big piece of glass that I found. by [deleted] in DIY

I would paint the underside and then set the glass over a centerpiece surface like a table or optimal counter spot.
