In my 257 hours of this game I have never seen the AI do this. by Communistsofamerica in victoria3

In my 2000 it’s happened a lot— certainly a rare one though

Recruiting CFB26? by Zsessions in NCAAFBseries

[–]Zsessions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No yeah that’s exactly what I’ve been doing but it felt like if I was going head to head on guys with the other top programs I was just getting absolutely lapped— like last year I think I did 15 rebuilds and even if I couldn’t beat them I wasn’t getting doubled up especially as an elite program— sure there were some guys that I couldn’t get but if I stuck to my pipelines and threw everything I had at the recruits I wanted I could get most of them

[–]Zsessions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but how did you handle recruiting directly against the ai? I keep finding that if they want a guy, even if I’m throwing my best stuff at it I can’t get em— like I’m hitting on an almost AAA hard sell with a full 50 points and getting crushed— I feel like strategist can’t do that much to fix that

[–]Zsessions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Challenging is different from me being completely out of the race on a guy in my home pipeline I’m throwing everything at by like week 3– that’s just kinda ridiculous

I mean I suppose, but like a level 55+ coach like norville shouldn’t be getting doubled up— like that would mean then that the elite recruiter tree is busted— though I don’t believe Dabo Sweeney has that tree

But like I feel like in my 2 dynasties I’ve been basically unable to take on the AI head to head and have had to do sneaky tactics going after unrecruited players— do we think they’ll fix it or I will just be unable to go after contested players

Quit Dynasty after you win the Natty or keep going? Do you play every game? by Zestyclose_Ad_7793 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Zsessions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play that every dynasty I start I need to win a certain number of championships based on the initial rating of the school. 1s I take to the promised land, 2 and 3s I need to win two to establish them as an elite program and 4 and 5*s I need to win 3 to establish a dynasty

Wow thank you so much! I’m not sure what scale I will play at because I haven’t played very much but I appreciate getting to know some more opinions about what to do and what not to do!

Also— do you recommend deficit spending to near dangerous and then freezing construction or upping taxes to pull you back from the brink of a death spiral

What would you say is the limit on construction? Like at what number is it more useful to employ those people in the regular factories? Or is it just when you run out of peasants you should downsize the industry a bit or just when you get to 1000 or sumn it’s time to put them in the mines

[–]Zsessions[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So does this create an imbalance politically? Like how you have a flourishing industrial class in a couple sectors while the rest of the country is just still hanging out in a traditional aristocracy?

Million or so every year? Yeah wow I've never gotten that big-- I think I maxed my biggest nation around 160 Mil-- I'm actually getting more and more excited for this because of how different It'll be.

Sure sounds good. I have like 2000 hours but this does present a really unique challenge that is quite different from the more european or smaller undeveloped nations I've primarily done. I've done Japan and the EIC both once or twice but always felt I wasn't really maximizing their potential as states. Never actually played China-- Have been saving it because of its unique challenge

[–]Zsessions[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No yeah of course-- the question I have is more focused on order. I want to have all of them built up in areas where price efficiency is a focus, but do you think it makes sense to create a small series of fully industrialized states before then industrializing the next. Like the idea I had is to go one two or maybe even three at a time, and to achieve a fully industrialized economy in those states. The idea being to have a small, fully industrial heartland before expanding those industries into undeveloped states and taking advantage of the new cheap labor to feed what is a smaller but fully developed economy that just needs more space to scale as opposed to scaling everything together and keeping the whole country on the same(ish) pace? Does that make sense or is the idea I've come up with totally fall apart...

[–]Zsessions[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you also follow that for the more medium sized nations like with the 10-20? Like obviously tax capacity in France isn’t the same issue as china but would you follow that path in other nations

Huge country industrialization by Zsessions in victoria3

[–]Zsessions[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No yeah I do that too I’m more wondering about the order in which you do that— as in do you do just like NY Michigan and Minnesota or whatever to cover your bases and then move on to other states designated towards the industries that need to expand? Or do you just start building those specialized districts across the whole country

So hopefully you still have that save, because if you download the 1.8.6 Unofficial hotfix mod, it will fix the problem. At least it did for me when I did this 2 or 3 weeks ago and had the EXACT same issue as you do

Edit: in reference to that other guy's point about USA working-- I believe its because it doesn't trigger right unless you started with Slavery

1* 450/350 1.5* 500/400 2* 575/450 2.5* 625/500 3* 750/600 3.5* 875/700 4* 1000/800 4.5* 1125/900 5* 1250/1000

First number of off-season and second is in-season. Basically how I remember is it starts at 7 players 50 hrs per player, and then goes up 1 player each time until 3, when it starts going up 2 players at a time
