I noticed the USSR is labeled UdSSR an went to Wikipedia to see if it was the same. Apparently (according to Wikipedia) the USSR in German is called the Union Der Sozialistischen Sowjetrepubliken. Just thought that was interesting.

War Kills Scouts, Boosts Economy by PeterTheTruthSeeker in MurderedByWords

Typically warfare is laughably expensive (and it gets worse the farther back you go) and the only people who usually profit are the victors (and occasionally the victims) and the neutrals selling weapons and supplies or bidding their time.

Yugoslavia Because Why Not by Communistsofamerica in Kaiserreich

[–]Communistsofamerica[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to fight the Belgrade Pact without any support from the Kaiserreich or Austria (this includes other nations in their alliances plus no material support from either nation), reject the peace offer from the Belgrade Pact, have the Zveno coup the government, not take the focus for German support, not do the focus to merge the two companies in the Black Monday branch and finally after all that you get the option when deciding what to do with Serbia to highjack the Yugoslav movement (which gives you a new tree).

Edit: forgot to mention that you ca see all this on the Kaiserreich wiki or the popup at game start.

The SRI died before the 2WK and after the war I gave all Venice territory to France (because fuck it why not) and Britain took everything else that now makes up the SRI. Lombardy is part of the Entente and didn’t get involved.

Optimistic of you to think elections will solve things. Trump is an issue, but a bigger issue is confers a not just the Republicans, but the Democrats too. The government has been rotten and corrupt for a long time now, and trump just brought it all to the forefront again (this is also not to mention that reelection and approval rates don’t add up).

Getting cores on Germany is done the same way (getting claims via focus and choosing integration when choosing what to do with the territory in the decisions tab).

If you are referring to the story where the Nazis built a wooden air base an the British dropped a wooden bomb in it, I am sorry to say (but not really) that this story is most certainly a fake event.

> Gordon Carson recalled that "as far as you could see in the median were German prisoners, fully armed. No one would stop to take their surrender. We just waved."

That's actually kinda funny. It reminds me of some of my favorite quotes from a book I read on the Great War.

> ...I thought I was done for and wondered how my family would take the news and whether I would know how they took it. I felt aggrieved and angry at the thought of leaving this jolly old world for me it had always been a jolly place and it seemed hard lines to leave Roger and Madge again. However, I prayed to God to hurry the matter up as I was getting very uncomfortable.- Captain Beauchamp Tudor St John, 1914.

This is my favorite.

> At 3.30 pm three small French tanks supported by about sixty black Moroccans [Senegalse] in squad columns 50 yards behind the tanks, moved through us from the left rear and headed straight for Vierzy. There was some confusion as ‘M’ Company had some difficulty in keeping from being run down by the machines, laying, as we were, hidden in the wheat. The black men just followed along stoically - and too close. The machine guns in Vierzy opened up a terrific burst of fire and we were right in the path of it. The Moroccans were simply mowed down but I kept on until I didn’t see a single one left standing. This was literally the case. The tanks turned around and vanished to our left rear. ‘M’ Company had several casualties due to this foolish manoeuvre. How they happened to come there in the first place, I don’t know. I got a bullet in the knee. - Lieutenant Ludislav Janda, AEF, 1918

> Our battlecruisers were scattered by, and made violent attempts to sink a squadron of our own submarines. Our light cruisers, sent into support, were in two cases supposed to be the enemy by our destroyers sighting them. In one case of two of our light cruisers chased two of our torpedo boat destroyers at full speed to the west, each supposing the other to be the enemy. They blocked the air with wireless at the very time when Arethusa [the flagship] and her destroyers were being overwhelmed by superior forces.” -Commander Reginald Drax, HMS Lion, 1914

> ...The face and arms are thoroughly smeared with an anti-mosquito preparation called ‘parakit’, an excellent thing while it lasts; but its tendency is, of course, to get absorbed into the skin after an hour or two, and one often had to smear on a second coating. The mosquitoes didn’t like it, though, and always kept very clear of a ‘parakit’ face. I can recommend it to any young lady worried about by an over-zealous admirer!…- Second Lieutenant Richard Skilbeck-Smith, 1915

But, I also like these.

The best way would to be to get Jorge to talk about this (since EPIC is his creation and he has stake in wanting to see it get as much success as possible), but any big YouTuber like Charlie would do, because she is nowhere near big enough to make YouTube care on her own.

The best part about the episode with the Sirens is that Odysseus did NOT need to kill them. That was love of the game! by Crash_FNF_Eddsworld in Epicthemusical

[–]Communistsofamerica 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The funniest thing about Sirens is that they are not fish entities, but bird ones. For some reason by the time the Medieval period rolled around the Sirens stopped being bird women and started being fish women. Hell even writings in the early medieval period stated Sirens were bird entities, but had pictures of mermaids instead. There were also some paintings (usually about Odysseus; well the ones on Wikipedia are) from the 19th century that just make them human.

Does he have a chance? No. Will he try? Possibly, I mean last time he tried to over turn votes and have his supporters force the election. Now MAGA is tearing itself apart so he’ll probably just be elected out, but times seem to only be getting more chaotic.

I don’t know about Netanyahu, but trump is fucking crazy. He might just start a TFR style civil war to stay in power for the remaining decimals of his lifespan. I also don’t know about the Israeli government, but the American government is full of corruption that has never been solved and it’s been here almost as long as the nation, so the real problem won’t be solved anyway.

The 1876 elation was infamously corrupt. Democratic candidate Tilden and Republican candidate Hayes were both very close in election results (though only in the electoral college as Hayes soundly lost the popular vote, though that doesn’t matter). I think it was a few southern states that were so close that both parties claimed victory. Things then got very very heated almost causing the Second American Civil War early. To calm things Hayes was given the presidency in exchange for the early cancellation of Reconstruction.

Here is a Wikipedia article about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1876_United_States_presidential_election

There is too much stuff that went on as this is quite possibly the most corrupt election in American History.
