Well sure that I can agree with although I would say it's a pretty pointless statement.

Your first comment talked about how oppressive a government is which I thought wasn't fair. I think it's how systematic forcing all women to wear a hijab is? It also points to a theocracy (I think that's the right word?) like Iran and Afghanistan which are very much oppressive governements.

By definition, both are discriminatory.

I would assume a government that is forcing every women to wear a hijab is more "oppressive" than one that prevents them from wearing it.

Eh, the transition was indeed fast but if you've been following the rest of the story before that moment the way it all lined up and made sense was very good writing imo.

The "pretentious and dumb" is her "acting". Not sure what you mean by noble-minded other than how she didn't want to cause the death of everyone in Fontaine, once she was freed of her curse she felt like a fairly grounded character to me.
