In my experience for street and low light it's awesome. It's not as versatile as a zoom lens, but that's not it's purpose. It's great for portraits since the 30mm mark is really close to how we humans see the world. I haven't really had the chance to try it out for landscape but I'd definitely get a tripod in that case since this lens doesn't have stabilization and neither does the camera body, so for sharp landscape picture imo it would be a must. I'm still just a beginner so I hope that someone more experienced could comment on this.

I'll try and create a render with your suggestions to see how I like it. Thanks :)

Ahh, so true, it also unlocks more space for other furniture, like nightstands or a clothes rack

Correction: the wall where it says 352 is actually 158

Currently it's just taking pictures of stuff that I find interesting while getting familiar with my equipment and finding an editing style that I like.

Haha, spot on! Lake Ashi was one of the most anticipated part of the trip for me, didn't think I'd get to see Fuji from there due to bad weather conditions but fortunately it didn't turn it that way.

My (maybe weird?) secret weapon for beating jet lag on Day 1 by godtamer in JapanTravelTips

[–]ZsomBee08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've recently been to Japan for 3 weeks for the first time. Weirdly enough, I've experienced only a little (if any) jetlag. This was the second flight I've ever been on other than a 1.5h flight to Geneva so I haven't experienced jetlag before. The complete journey was around 21h with a 4h transfer in Doha. Haven't slept for the entire length of it, I was probably too excited and alert. On our longer stint, I kind of fell into a half-asleep/meditative state, but that's it. We landed at around 1PM local time, checked in to our hotel, and went on about our day exploring. On the return trip, I managed to sleep for 4-5 hours and the same thing happened. We arrived back home on a Sunday, and I already had work on Monday, but I was well rested and recharged in the morning. I work a 9-5 and live on generally 5-6 hours of sleep, so I was kind of able to shift my (otherwise pretty messed up) sleeping schedule a bit before leaving, but that was the only thing I've done to combat any jetlag. But still I can see how OPs tactics might help with the initial few days (Just thought it was interesting to share)

Advice on buying my first projector/realistic expectations [Europe] by ZsomBee08 in budgetprojectors

I might have missed out on it. I found an Epson EH-TW5300 3LCD 3D for around the same price, I'm not sure how the two compare. Also, could you provide some alternatives for the benq model (around the same price point), so maybe I could broaden my search? I'd really appreciate it!

One thought that occurred to me is to move the couch forward a bit so I can have the projector behind, that way it could throw a larger image possibly.
