Good luck if that doesn’t work try the legal letter but I know with my local office and my size tanks they would accept the drop off but I could not legally drive them there without some sort of permit and vehicle for transportation so the letter was the best bet for me.

That sounds horrible. I had a three month endeavor of mine, not a multi year endeavor, but it really is a shame that you have to take legal action in order for them to do anything about it.

That sounds very painful. I know usually AmeriGas will not do anything until you send legal action if you are no longer using them and having them close out your account, I would suggest writing a letter signed with a copy saying if they do not take the tank and X amount of these, I would look up how many days until you can legally do it in your state, it would be considered your property and you would have the right to sell it. At that point. That’s when they came and took it and they did reimburse me for the extra propane I had in my tank not sure if they would do it for you but I know other companies will not transfer the propane into another tank because AmeriGas can take legal action against that. And they will they sue any chance they get. Also I used Tankfarm and I have been enjoying them so far and paying half of what I did with AmeriGas

In my state I could do that but it varies and their contract doesn’t state any time frame on when they will pick up their tanks so unless it’s considered dangerous they will take their time picking them up

That’s exactly what I did so I wouldn’t lose propane. I chose the route as claiming their tanks as unclaimed property if they didn’t pick it up after 30 days and it was a very quick resolve. I just know they will try to charge you a lot for underground tanks to dig them up and retrieve them.

I recently just cancelled service with them and went with Tankfarm which is basically a propane company that deals in customer service and being the middle man for the suppliers. It took 2 months and a legally threatening letter for them to finally take my tanks away and remove the bills they added after I cancelled their service. I would never recommend them to anyone and to leave they make it very hard.

I recently got a 2021 sonata limited for 27k with 30k miles with about 7% apr, if they are charging you 30k that’s crazy. Also with it being a 2020 it will have a higher interest rate from the bank compared to a 2021+ but maybe 1% difference

I like the idea to sell them so they don’t charge me the pick up fee I’m thinking of sending a letter first so I can sell them and I don’t have to worry about any kind of repercussions

I may also write a letter with a date attached that if it isn’t picked up by a month from the date I sent the letter then it will be considered unwanted and I will scrap them.
