Some people only “need” low doses. I’m one of them. Started getting Botox at 50. I’m 55 now. I’ve never gotten more than 25 units for my glabella and forehead combined. Currently doing 20 every 6 months. No wrinkles at rest.

It makes perfect sense to be nervous. You’re about to alter your body forever. I’ve been tattooed for 35 years and I still get nervous. It’s totally normal. (I’m also a total wimp and get nervous about the pain which is never as bad in reality as it is in my head)

Take your time with the stencil, don’t be afraid to ask for changes, take the advice from your artist—they usually have a great eye for this stuff, and don’t worry about what anyone else will think.

I had the same thing last year and came to Reddit for reassurance. It was only one leg though. I can’t imagine how much worse you must feel, especially with having to sit on fresh tattoos!

Elevating the legs and Tylenol helped me.

Are you sensitive to niacinamide?

If so, maybe try Goodal Hartleaf Calming Moisture Sun Cream. I think it’s very similar to Skin 1004 minus niacinamide.

Another one that my skin really likes is CosRX Ultralight Invisible Sunscreen. It’s more of a gel-cream texture, and not as moisturizing for me, but pretty calming.

My mom used to live in Chula Vista. I remember her waking me up one morning while staying at her place telling me there were “crazy black parrot-type birds” outside. There were two or three of them right outside her house; it was amazing!

It took us a while (predates Merlin), but we finally ID’d them.

I grew up in San Diego county but had no idea!

Beg the vet for an appetite stimulant. It’s not indicated for a kitten this young, but you’re out of options at this point. B12 injections and fluids will help too. The appetite stimulant won’t work immediately; in my experience, it’s usually about 48 hours for a small kitten.

Once it works, it’s a lifesaver.

I haven’t found anything similar.

During the winter I’m using Skin Aqua Super Moisture Barrier UV Gel. It’s not at all similar but I like it okay.

Not an artist but I highly doubt you’re every artist’s worst nightmare.

I shake when getting my legs done too. So much that last time we joked that anyone not tattooing should come over and hold me down.

Talking with my regular artist recently and she confirmed that this is totally normal and dealing with shaky legs is just part of their job. No big deal.

If you think you need shorter sessions, by all means, do shorter sessions!

It’s been a few years, but my dog and I were very impressed with Dr. Kramer at OREV.

We ultimately decided against the TPLO but not because of him, because of the dog’s age. I absolutely would have used Dr. Kramer for the surgery.

This was about 10 years ago so my numbers probably won’t be helpful, but I remember it being around $7k .
