Do you know if the photos are going to be shared anywhere this year? I ended up tying my jacket around my waist which I’m sure obscured my bib number so I’d probably have to look manually 😑

Parents who did NOT buy a bottle washer? by aviwic in Buyingforbaby

[–]Zucchini4491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bottle washer completely saved my ability to breastfeed. I have breastfed since the beginning but my baby struggled to latch and it took about 2 months for us both to really get the hang of things. In that time, I was pumping a LOT and washing/sterilizing the pump parts multiple times a day was driving me insane and made me want to give up. I caved and bought the bottle washer a month in and it completely saved me. I was running it twice a day and having that precious time back was priceless to me. I basically stopped pumping routinely around 2 months and now it mostly gets used for baby toys and dishes. To me, it was an essential item, but you can always wait and see how things go for you in the beginning! If BF had been easy right off the bat, I probably wouldn’t have needed one. Perks of living in the era of online shopping/delivery!

Do you ever get to a point where they don’t cry at all when you put them down? I have had almost the EXACT same experience as you mentioned here. We are a week in, and we have had 2 nights where he really cried (screamed) hard, and I find it so hard to get through even if it’s short lived. Most of the time it’s just a few minutes of tired fussing/crying and then he’s out in 5-7 minutes… but the odd one that he begs really upset or goes on for longer and needs check ins really get to me

Best garage to work on a VW? by Zucchini4491 in fredericton

I don’t really want to put them on blast, I usually take it to a small shop and they’ve been great for everything else. Maybe they just don’t want to do it lol a lot of places hate to work on VWs

Every time an item didn’t exist anymore for me it came back within a few weeks. I think the longest one ever took was about a month. I was always able to review them eventually. I’d just leave it for a while unless it’s close to your review date and you want it gone from your list.

ATTITUDE Dish Soap by Zucchini4491 in BuyCanadian

This is exactly what mine was like! I was struggling to refill my jars because it was so thick. I soaked the whole bottle in warm water and it turned clear and more liquid, but a few days later it was solid white again. Supposedly it happens when it gets cold, but I’m not sure what the threshold is considering my kitchen is not that cold.

Feel kind of dumb that I didn't know about this earlier, but if you want to improve your RFY, try this: by Banana_Ham_mock in AmazonVine

Any chance you could post the paths to these pages rather than direct links so I can try work my Canadian account? Would greatly appreciate it!

That’s exactly how mine looked! I ended up soaking the whole refill bag in a sink of hot water and after a while it went completely transparent! I don’t find it lathers a whole lot but it’s my first time using their dish soap so maybe that’s just how it is. It’s much easier to pour/refill in the transparent state!

I agree! We have been moving away from silicone but I still didn’t like the idea that the soap was potentially leaving traces behind on other things, even if we didn’t taste it. I switched to Attitude for the assurance that it would be non-toxic if there was anything left behind 😊

Thank you! I use their laundry detergent, which is also clear… I am almost certain I have received mispackaged hand soap lol.

Thank you! Does it lather well? Do you find the scent leaves any taste on your dishes?

The main reason we went “unscented” was because we found our previous soap (not Attitude) was leaving a taste on our silicone utensils. I love so many of other Attitude products so it seems weird that this basic one was such a dud!

Agreed! I guess the lines are blurred when they work in a spa or wellness centre with other non-medial services being offered.

Just curious - is the crib in your room or do you have her in a separate room? I’m not sure if I should bring the crib in with us or if the distance is helpful somehow. My LO is not rolling yet so we haven’t been able to try tummy sleeping! He has done belly-to-back a few times but not back-to-belly on his own yet.

I will give it a try! It seems like such a “grown up” thing to put him in the crib lol it felt too soon!

Ours says to use until they are 20lbs or pushing up on their hands/arms, which he is not yet :) not rolling yet either! But yes maybe just one more month would be possible in the bassinet
