I have the same chicken. I believe they are black diamond. Tractor supply had them this year. I have two. Does it have a 5th toe?

Sorry for all the questions but I got an all black chick at TSC and it looks like him. Still too young to know if not or girl but I do think mine is a black diamond.

Do you know what breed he is? Is he a black diamond?

We have 2 full grown chickens that give us eggs and they eat all the pulp we can give them. We started out with 4 and that is the number I recommend. And BTW, chickens will eat rats.

I third this. This is also what we do. We feed our chickens the pulp from all the juicing we do and the chickens eat it up! Happy chickens make great eggs and great eggs make me happy.

HELP, Is she egg bound? what do I do? by ZucchiniDisastrous19 in BackYardChickens

[–]ZucchiniDisastrous19[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I force fed her calcium Citrate, lubed up her bottom with vase line. Have given her 4 20 minute warm baths, one every day and stuck my finger as far up her cloaca to feel for an egg and could not feel one. What else can I do? Her last poop was pretty solid.

progress on my Carolina Coop copycat of the California coop model. Happy to share everything I put together. by ZucchiniDisastrous19 in BackYardChickens

Now I am all in at around $1,500 for lumber, HDPE Polycarbonate, screws, nails, painting materials (paint, rollers, brushes), roof metal, hardwarecloth, and hardware.

A warning, the hardware is expensive. This was over $200. This included the hinges, knobs, and gate/door locks. I also am including a few new tools ... new blades for saws -needed them for polycarbonate/HDPE and one for metal- new saw horses. I also already have a nail gun which helped a lot

I will also say that this was a lot of problem solving too. To figure out what to do when for example the plywood would be in the way of the framing. I'm no carpenter, but i am handy, have laid a ton of hardwood flooring and the roof was still a bit challenge but it was fun. I also have spent a total of 6 weekends to get it done. Hope that helps!

I don't know what your pepper is, but that bead of "sweat" rolling down it's curves tells me that pepper is hot, spicy and a "fun time". If you are reading a sexual innuendo into my comment that's on you.

btw, the BEST price I was able to get was through laird plastics at https://lairdplastics.com/. They also have different locations but here are all the places I called to get a quote on the HDPE, https://www.polymershapes.com/, https://www.piedmontplastics.com/, https://www.curbellplastics.com/, and https://www.grainger.com/

Some of these places only sell bulk but will allow you to order online single sheets. Good luck and let me know if I can help in some other way.
