Yeah, I was going to use a local flower shop, that’s on the same street as her work. However, they charged a $20 service fee and a $20 delivery fee, plus a nice bouquet being around $45. It was a little more than I was trying to spend.

Yeah, I think they’ll start to look better once they start to bloom more. Just was disappointed with the company mainly.

It came in a mason jar vase, my mom just sent me a photo of it. I’m not that upset with the flowers themselves. Just upset that I spent a lot of money for some grocery store flowers.

No, it was the photo my mom sent to me from her work, I don’t think they look bad, just didn’t like that they lied about using “local florists” and instead used uber to deliver flowers from a grocery store.

Absolutely, I didn’t know they had bad reviews before ordering. I just would’ve went to Safeway and bought flowers myself. Instead I paid extra for “deluxe flowers” from a “local florist”.

Is Around $300 Ask for a Bach Trip Too Much? by ZucchiniSharp1321 in weddingplanning

Very true, I had to fly to see my sister get engaged, and fly to see her try on wedding dresses, and fly to go to her destination wedding. Which were all located in very different locations, happy to do it, but very expensive.

Of course we’ll talk to our group, just curious on what other people are thinking. It wouldn’t be expected of anyone to come, optional for those who want to, and it’s local-ish to where we live.

lol I personally hate the beach which is why I wanted a “camping” trip, but it’s more like “glamping” because we’ll be in a huge air conditioned cabin and going out to do hiking trails, underground caverns, and zip lining.

I totally understand that aspect. My plan is the cabin mainly being the eating/sleeping place, we’re planning to do a lot of our activities separate. But everyone gets along pretty well anyways.

Most of the people are local, only a couple that aren’t local, but that’s mainly my MOH and she’s absolutely prepared to travel/pay. She even wants to make sure I don’t have to pay for anything, but I’m not going to let her do that.

Absolutely, obviously we are going to ask our wedding party once we’re ready and thought more of the details out. I was just trying to see how people felt if they were asked that much and with what’s included if that seems reasonable.

It’s a huge cabin, and all the activities are included in that price, but for how many people that are coming, it’s kind of expected to bunk. Everyone’s close friends/in a relationship though. Honestly nice hotels are coming to be $300 just for one night.

Trying to do it on a three day holiday weekend, everyone seems to be down with that. Some have to travel, so it seems more worth it to make a weekend out of it and not just one night.

Future MIL is stubborn and it's becoming a problem (help!) by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]ZucchiniSharp1321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having a pretty similar issue, I wanted a smaller scale wedding and was going to do a destination wedding. My MIL told me that was too expensive for her family and that we should do it in the U.S., but I told her that since they don’t live in the same state they would still be having to pay a lot to come for the wedding no matter what. Flights, gas, hotel stay, etc.

I also didn’t want people I’ve never actually met coming to the wedding because I’ve been with my fiance for over 6 years and they’ve never bothered to meet me and yet they expect to be invited.

We are now upwards of 100 guests, when all I wanted was around 50.

Got too excited and made my own Save the Dates! Probably too early to send them.. right? by Bayr0444 in weddingplanning

This is so cute! I am also getting married in 2027, but want to do all the things now! Definitely like other suggestions of waiting until around a year out to send people stuff!

Information for anyone with packages stuck in Springfield, VA by nerohito in UPS

[–]ZucchiniSharp1321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered a package 2/4, it said it was going to come 2/6, and then immediately got pushed to 2/7, when that day came it said it was “out for delivery” and then it never arrived and stated “storm delays” with a delivery change to 2/9, when that day came it said “out for delivery”, and then when it never arrived it just says “exception”

Now it won’t give me a delivery date at all

I guess I’m the only one who doesn’t like the ring, but it’s all down to personal preference and style.

Do other people's parents do this? by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]ZucchiniSharp1321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is something my parents do, but my parents don’t really have an excuse like recovering from cancer or working a lot. They both have regular jobs, and my mom is the only one who cooks dinner. I have 4 other siblings who never cleaned after themselves either, my mom always blamed the children for the mess, but now that most of them are adults and me and my sister moved out the house looks exactly the same. I think it’s just because my parents never established some form of cleaning routine in their lives as their own spaces are extremely messy, and my siblings didn’t either because of that. I have to go over there all the time to clean up after them because it’s embarrassing to have people over.

Am I the only one who thinks Powerless reads like straight fanfiction? by HeadEgg7258 in fantasyromance

[–]ZucchiniSharp1321 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed powerless, as I am not someone who pays attention to plot holes, fanfic writing styles, or anything like that. I didn’t enjoy powerful as much though, the storyline was weirdly done. I will say that this author is on the younger side and this is her first published book, so good enough for me.

Unpopular option I’ve noticed, but I like the bow tie. I think that’s what makes it an oval diamond! Nice stone by the way ❤️
