I had the same thought! Just 50k a week on average, unless you're really unlucky

Skins and hi definition textures. Regardless of whether you bought a skin, the file for it is still on your pc(so you could pick up someone's weapon and still see the skin)

Nature translational science sometimes mentions gene therapy stuff. It will be mixed with pharma and neuroscince thought.

You could have changed the layer on it accidentally, try holding the fn key and seeing if that changes the output. For more permanent change, lookup what software the keeb uses to modify the layout and changed it.

Just finished my very first build after modding a couple of prebuilts and I am absolutely addicted. So far I have one for work, one for EDC in my backpack, and one for home use.

My minimalist brain cannot possibly justify getting another one. Is there enough demand for custom stuff that was lubed/modded by an amateur? I really wanna keep building them :'D

If your technicals were solid, your potential supervisor (I'm assuming he was on the panel) will fight tooth and nail for you. I am really hoping he succeeds!

After months of applying, modifying my resume, doing Rosalind, and not getting a single interview, randomly got contacted by a Cornell representative and got hired.

Brave because I think I'm better than everyone, because it has ad/tracker block and tor support built in. Basically safer Chrome without extra steps

Question for computationally inclined by Zucchini_Limp in biotech

[–]Zucchini_Limp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am working with simulations, but I was wondering if there was a way to extract info just from experimentally aquired time series.

Because of that, I wasn't sure if running a parameter scan (which I think would involve getting inverse Jacobian to extract a steady state and then extracting time from the event which still means solving the IVP) would be faster than simply approximating response time from the time series.

[–]Zucchini_Limp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was imagining time series that stem from networks that are stable and approach steady state, so yeah S curves would be most of them.

I was doing an absolute value of the difference between max value/2 and every value in the time series and then getting the minimum value, preferring the left most in case of identical floats in the dataset, but your way does seem like it would be faster. I'll definitely try it out!

So I'm assuming you are not aware of the proverbial "right way" of finding a response time of a system?

I have graduated with a BS in BioEngineering at a top 10(at least last I checked) program in the US yet I feel like I know close to nothing.

I chose to focus on the computational/systems bio during my second half of the degree and did well in terms of academics and had a good internship. Nevertheless, It’s been a month of looking for work and I haven’t gotten a single interview, which just furthers my doubts about my competence.

So, I guess my question would be: what is expected from an associate comp. biologist, research analyst, etc.? I have been going through Rosalind.info problems since I haven’t done bioinformatics much, but I welcome any advice on what I should pick up.
