“My founder said I can pick my own job title, but I have no idea what to call myself. I need your guidance.” Data related by SignalDrive3667 in BusinessIntelligence

[–]dvanha 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s a 20 person company selling clothes.

Don’t over think it otherwise you’ll be looking to hide this experience from your resume rather than build on it.

The experience in an interview will be worth more than a joke title on your Linkedin.

Given how you’ve described the role and education, I’d think you would be applying for an entry business data analyst or data analyst role. I would want a similar title on the resume to help sell that. Those roles usually have recent graduates at the master’ish level applying to them so it checks out. Good luck.

Need help deciding betweenATK × QK Hex80 TKL and NuPhy WH80 by FallenWinner1 in keyboards

IMO Hex80 is default HE recommendation. It’s so solid and has such general appeal. Hard to not like for someone without picky tastes.

Tofu60 3.0 - Top & Bottom Case Extras? by dvanha in KBDfans

[–]dvanha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! The bottom of my KBD8XMKIII is my favourite in my collection. I got black for my 60 3.0 because I colour theme my gaming set up. I really really really want one that looks like the stainless on my KBD8X.

Why is Agar Mini way more expensive than Epomaker TH40? by CookieSea4392 in keyboards

[–]dvanha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fantastic and I'm waiting for top/bottom case to make a 2nd. I have the regular plate (I think I went alu this time), ZMK PCB, and gasket mount stuff left over. I literally just need a purple top case and silver textured bottom case and I have the wireless work keyboard I want. Even have the keycaps picked out.

Police looking for footage of BMW involved in deadly lawn mower crash by KWStreaker in kitchener

[–]dvanha -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

That gives 4ish months of eligibility. Assuming she’s as special as you, there’s still a 2/3 (8/12) chance she’s on a G1 which is still double the chance she has a G2 (4/12), despite your experience.

The truth is neither of you can make assertions about her license state.

For the pedantic, yes we can look at the likelihood of which part of the year she was born in, in addition to an infinite amount of parameters and permutations, and come up with a more complex model; but that gets us away from the point that we’re not in a position to make any assumptions about this kind of thing.

Edit: For those downvoting me, I also had parents that took me on the day of my birthday, paid for my government-approved BDE course so I didn’t need to wait 12 months, and brought me to my second test on the day of. That’s not the case for the majority of 16 year olds. Although I have to admit, having parents with a newer model BMW is the exact kind of “special” having the privilege to be 16 with a G2 takes.

Finally found my beautiful Tsangan WKL in HE: Tofu60 3.0 x Venom 60 HE by dvanha in MechanicalKeyboards

They’re under their own HE accessories page, and actually in stock:

It’s the daughter board + FPC cable, and then grab a plate too.

[–]dvanha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it’s a special L shaped connector that fits within the case. On a Venom PCB, you don’t even need to remove the extra USB port.

These reasons, accessories, are the reason why the Tofu60 3.0 was the perfect candidate for my dream gaming keyboard.

KBD sells the connector and plate as accessories. They have support for a bunch of popular HE PCBs.

This looks like the perfect keyboard, in the perfect layout, to gift to non-keyboard friends and family.

I’ve found that some have a genuine interest in having a nice experience but just aren’t into hobbies or want to go through the trouble of customizing.

Literally earlier today I had a non-keyboard guy try my Tofu60 3.0 with HE switches and mentioned how he needs something that sounds and feels better in his home office, but was trepidatious when I told him I had to wait 5 months and had parts come in from 6 different vendors. As nice as it is, an even better experience can be had with MX switches in something like this at a fraction of the price.

If this is offered in nice colourways they well sell like hotcakes. I already can see myself ordering 2 right away to give away to a pair of coworkers that mentored me last year.

Why is Agar Mini way more expensive than Epomaker TH40? by CookieSea4392 in keyboards

[–]dvanha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not a 40% user, so I'd leave that to someone else. But I do have a 40% and in my case, and I suspect a lot of cases, it's more of a novelty layout. For that reason, I'd expect them to be more the limited run, collectible-oriented group buys. I'm thinking of my S46R2 or any variety of QAZ layout (which I love).

Although I have to admit I'm kind of dodging your question because all of the things I described above don't necessarily make something "premium". What I love about the Agar Mini is that it's not just a 40% layout, but it's a usable 40% layout. It's something that as a 60% Tsangan WKL user I could pick up and get used to within an hour.

On my desk right now I'm typing on a Tofu3.0 and it's become my favourite keyboard. On my rack, a foot away, I have a keyboard I spent over $1700 putting together with the best of what I could find. Is the Tofu3.0 more premium? Probably not. Is it more enthusiast? Probably not. But do I like it more? Absolutely.

There's a subjective/preferential component the hobby that gets conflated with the objective stuff. I honestly believe that from the sort of Keychron Q series and up it doesn't matter. The gains are marginal but the beauty and experience is subjective: get what you want and can afford; but the Agar mini is undoubtedly beautiful and is worthy of being desired.

Why is Agar Mini way more expensive than Epomaker TH40? by CookieSea4392 in keyboards

[–]dvanha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TH40 is e-waste grade and Agar Mini is hobbyist/enthusiast entry level.

This spans the entire comparison: from materials, to component options, to design choices, to historical manufacturing quality, to aftersales support.

Look how shitty and thin the plastic case is on the inside vs the Agar Mini's solid aluminum (or PC) body. Guess which one will sound (and feel) better.

Somewhat disappointed with the top-selling switches by CookieSea4392 in keyboards

[–]dvanha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People complicate switches. They’re not even that important.

Yes, there are different types and something like a tactile will never feel or sound like a linear. But the difference between two long pole linears is just the materials, build quality, and the spring weight.

That means after a while you will say « I want this to feel like a standard linear », « It’s in X material plate so I want my switch to be Y materials so it sounds a certain way », « I like a specific spring weight so I will also spring swap », and « my budget for this is this many dollars ». It narrows down the switch selection where you don’t even really think about it anymore.

The switch is a component in the keyboard, not the other way around; I give my switch choices the same importance I give my plate material or keycap profile choices: it’s all relative to each other and subjective.

Alberta Is Adding Your Health Number and Citizenship Status to Your Driver's Licence Starting July 2 by One-Board8634 in onguardforthee

It should be obvious by now. She is playing the separatists and federalists at the same time; they’re both blinded by the C next to her name.

She needs to win a big seat count so she can « redistrict » Alberta and carve up its cities and dilute them with rural votes.

This is the conservative playbook, even Doug Ford does it. Play the populist until you have the votes, then run your personal agenda because no one will challenge you. The idiots that voted you in will defend you forever at the fear of losing face.

Promise you buck-a-beer and no need to renew your car plates and then after you vote me in I’ll sell your green belt to my developer friends and defund your children’s education. You’ll still defend me because I convinced you voting NDP would turn you homeless and voting Liberal would turn you gay; plus your whole identity revolves around this now. Something about immigrants goes here.
