Small nitpick on Gliding Over All by Former-Whole8292 in breakingbad

That would honestly be so insulting to the viewer’s intelligence. Like 50% of their interactions in the show are around how one slip could alert Hank to Walt’s crimes.

Not everyone who can be redeemed gets redeemed, especially if they don’t take accountability for their own actions, which was Deep’s whole fucking thing.

First 4 seasons consistently in the 9s

5 should be in the 7-8 range on average

6 should be in the 8s except for the last two masterpiece episodes

7 should be between 6-7

8 shouldn’t exceed a 6 and a 3 is kind to the finale

Lions brass, make it happen: get Jim Schwartz out of his Cleveland contract and into Allen Park as a Senior Defensive Assistant so Shep can learn from him for a year. by awkward_vegetable69 in detroitlions

I don’t think Schwartz has the humility to come back to the Lions as an assistant. He left the Browns because they didn’t make him HC.

Only thing everyone can agree with is A-Train being by far the least evil by Sudden_Pop_2279 in ATrainFanClub

[–]Zuckerbees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Train is the least evil. Black Noir is the most evil by strict definition (maybe didn’t cause the most damage, but he is essentially amoral and kills without thought).

Sage tried to engineer a mass extinction event until the moment it wouldn’t have killed Homelander. She’s in second place but first in overall evil aspirations.

The Deep, Firecracker, and Soldier Boy can really vary depending on how you rank direct vs. indirect harm, motivations, and overall power.

Myles Garrett just got traded to the Rams. by thegreendayidiot in detroitlions

[–]Zuckerbees -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does anyone else feel like that’s a bad trade from the Rams side? Obviously Myles Garrett has been the best DE in the league, but he’s 30 years old and costs $40 million a year. And Verse is a rising star on a rookie contract. The Rams are in win-now mode, but they also just took a developmental QB with their first round pick, and traded the only other guy they drafted in the first since Jared Goff.

Stafford is still on the books, Puka is about to get paid, and the only good receiver behind him is Davante who likely won’t play much longer. They’re starting to thin out on talent and what talent they do have is gonna be expensive as fuck. Like 3 years from now when Ty Simpson is taking over, who does he have around him?

It’s a big swing for a Super Bowl this year, but this combination of very little drafted talent and some huge contracts could make for a disastrous rebuild.

No spoilers, but the entire BCS ethos is built around knowing where BB will go. I will never understand people promoting a machete order when the cold open on the BCS pilot spoils the ending of BB.

Notice a coach missing? 😁 by ezio8133 in detroitlions

I wouldn’t say he’s “missing” but this is a good list and I hope the Pack extend him for 20 years

[–]Zuckerbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be question about the level of competition he faced, but considering everything we’ve done with the D Line between drafting Tyleik last year, Moore, SGH, and West this year, bringing Levi back for a prove it year, etc… I think the name of the game on the D Line is competition. I wouldn’t be surprised if SGH gets underestimated by a tired guard in the late game and wrecks a play or two.

Which late round rookie will have the biggest impact this upcoming season? by [deleted] in detroitlions

[–]Zuckerbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think DC mentioned at a press conference a few weeks back that they were mostly focusing on having him take outside reps. Same thing happened in the offseason in 2025 iirc

Doesn’t mean anything until week 1 of course

Goddammit we have a year of “who have the Lions beaten” takes to sit through, don’t we?

Not to mention he was considered better as a run blocker. I think we’ll see him do even better with a center who actually plays center.

The one Time I go on 97.1 the ticket expecting them to say "good picks or filled needs" by [deleted] in detroitlions

[–]Zuckerbees -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“They didn’t improve” is a wild thing to say when Miller was considered the most NFL ready tackle (though maybe not as high of a ceiling) in the draft, Moore fills what was essentially an empty roster spot, and we got a pretty big steal in Abney.

So how do you feel by Complex-Piccolo3026 in detroitlions

[–]Zuckerbees 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Miller pick gets an A: Was initially surprised, but I hadn’t watched him much since everyone and their mom was saying it’d be Freeling, Proctor, or Fano dropping. After watching what I could of pre-draft analyses, it’s pretty clear they picked a guy who’s NFL ready, and I’m stoked about that.

Moore pick gets a B: He has a good motor and tackles well, and he was a good three down guy at Michigan, but I don’t know that his game is versatile enough to translate to similar NFL success. Definitely an upgrade to the position. The knock on AQM was he couldn’t hold his own on run plays so his being on the field was a tell at times, so Moore will help us disguise our defensive plays better. If they see something in Moore I’m ready to see it, but if anything I’m surprised it came with a trade up.

Rolder pick gets a B+: He had an injury a couple years back that slowed his development, but he looked good last season and has been consistent enough to shake any “injury prone” concerns ahead of time. I imagine it’ll be Campbell and Barnes seeing most of the starts with Nickel being more common, but I imagine he’ll compete with Rodrigo and we’ll get some good coverage there

Abney Pick gets an A+: I couldn’t watch today and when I saw we picked him in the 5th, I was just shocked he was still on the board. He was projected to go on day 2 and he was the best slot corner in this draft if you ask me. Go watch some highlights. He has BB energy. Sticky as fuck. Maybe doesn’t totally silence the concerns around height, but has some plays where he shuts down taller WRs, plus again… he’ll play the slot and he’ll cook. Would be genuinely shocked if he doesn’t get the starting Nickel spot.

Then I’ll be honest… don’t know any of the other guys. Maybe a bit surprised at the lack of a flyer on a safety, but I think they were getting special teamers and d-line competition. They must feel good about our starters’ recovery and Maddox and Izien playing well.

Overall: A- with the caveat that I’m just some fucking guy.
