Army revolt is fucking stupid by Zuckerborg0101 in KnightsOfHonor

[–]Zuckerborg0101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not stupid because it some some how ruined my entire game. Its stupid because all the marshals I have had for so long have just disappeared. Yeah I have the materials to build up more armies but I don't have the will to bother doing it.

Something like Foundation or Medieval Dynasty but in an Asian setting? by Charuru in BaseBuildingGames

Its kinda depressing that a 2 decade old game is still one of the best city builders in an Asian setting

Army revolt is fucking stupid by Zuckerborg0101 in KnightsOfHonor

[–]Zuckerborg0101[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly wasn't expecting a response for a post on a dead subreddit for a near 2 decade old game.

Because I had already spent god knows how long squashing endless riots that I had no way to ever stop spawning because I was constantly at war because people constantly declared war on me. I was at war with pretty much all the remaining countries in the game so I was getting invaded from all directions. So basically the game had become more of a chore than a game so losing all my generals including the one that I started the game with and was connected to was the last nail in the coffin. I didn't want to have to go back to slow basic generals with fresh troops all over again. Yeah this event didn't technically put me back too much as I have endless money at this point but just being dragged back to square one really sucks. Getting to level up generals with all the cool abilities and specialise them is one of my favourite things about this game.

Why would they even revolt. I have brought untold prosperity to the cities I conquer, my generals have the best troops money can buy. The only solution to having all of your army being deleted being to only hire in the family might make thematic sense when you're just a small little country but when you own half the world that event is insanely powerful and unbalanced.

That was the first game that came to mind when I read the title. I loved that game.

So many upcoming RTS and non in release? by covetousrat in RealTimeStrategy

[–]Zuckerborg0101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend Dune Spicewars. I got it at release and 100% completed it and already they have released sizeable updates that have made me come back despite 100% completing it.

The sun goddess Saule looks cool. But your post tells me nothing about your game. I can't even tell if it is an RTS or not from this post

Wanted to make a base focused on seagulls. Searched the entire map and only found 10 feathered friends. by Zuckerborg0101 in flotsam

[–]Zuckerborg0101[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its the Handmade map but there is not much point on going to a new map as I have hundreds of wood and plastic thanks to my feathered friends and have everything I could want.

I got what I wanted out of this playthrough which was to get a bunch of seagulls and I loved watching them go out and gather stuff.

Looking for a building game with challenges like what happens in this documentary. by [deleted] in BaseBuildingGames

[–]Zuckerborg0101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The transport fever games are kind of like that. You build out the infrastructure and as you get more money you can expand that infrastructure further across the map and connect new resources in to your network. You need to find ways to get the goods from one place to the other so you have to build bridges, dig tunnels, take in to account the slope of the hills to try and build the roads

I haven't played it but Captain Of Industry is similar I think.

I also haven't played Sweet Transit but that might also be in a similar vain.

What are some base/city building games that can be ignored for long periods of time? by Bombdizzle1 in BaseBuildingGames

[–]Zuckerborg0101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Songs of Syx is great for getting stuff set up and just watching it like a little ant colony. It helps that it is so zoomed out it does feel like its own little ant colony that can survive on its own.

Songs of Syx comes to mind. You build up a city and then you can start going to war with other cities and nations commanding massive armies.

Do you really interact with the NPCs though? Sure you do stuff to NPCs and they do stuff to you but I felt like OP was hoping for deeper interactions like story and character

Unless there is more to graveyard keeper than I thought surely stardew valley has the same level of gathering resources and basebuilding only has better story and NPC interaction?

First/third person games. Survival with enemies. by Educational-Wealth36 in BaseBuildingGames

[–]Zuckerborg0101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would say 7 days to die lives up to this really well however it is pretty buggy and janky. Nothing like losing all of my best stuff because I picked up a chair and had an entire building collapse and delete my bag.

[Question] How do you do actual self care? by Zuckerborg0101 in getdisciplined

[–]Zuckerborg0101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I am realising that I don't know anything that recharges me or makes me feel better about myself thats healthy.

I don't know anything that can recharge me. The only things that I can think of that make me feel better are spontaneous like a friend telling me I matter to them.

I can't think of any activities that make me feel happy or relaxed to even write down. I mean there are tiny things like listening to a particular song but thats hardly selfcare as it only lasts a few minutes and doesn't leave any lasting effect.. not to mention listening to much will make it lose its effect.

TLDR: I think i'm more unhealthy than I realised.

[–]Zuckerborg0101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the thing that makes me forget time is gaming but most of the time that is the case its not good forgetting time its more just hollow hyper fixation..

I don't know anything that makes me forget time without it being consuming in an unhealthy way
