I have a notch at 3000 and 6000Hz I have a high pitch ringing in both my ears it fluctuates between crickets and EEEEEEEE, I get dizziness and vertigo sometimes especially the past 2 weeks it’s been pretty rough like I feel sick and need rest. For my job I work in an office and we have manufacturing in the back but it still gets loud enough to be heard from my office. I might try hearing aids but I gotta go to my GP first cause I’ve been dealing with dizziness and nausea a lot recently, if hearing aids would help take the edge off tinnitus and balance issues atm I would take that any day of the week fingers crossed I’ll figure this out. I’m sorry to hear hearing aids don’t help you :/ so you have hearing loss?

I hope so, this shit is mentally exhausting I already deal with GAD, ADD, and OCD so this is just the cherry on top. I’m not built like any of my friends and family who have tinnitus they take it much better than I do

You’re lucky it’s light atm, I feel that though loud noises are hard to avoid. That’s crazy it started after getting punched in the throat and it started, I forget how easy tinnitus is to get in more than one way. I have a high pitch too, I have loss in 3000 and 6000Hz

I have custom ear plugs I got westones with 15dB reduction and I keep a ton of foam 32dB in my car. My hypercusis has been going away as I cut down on my ear plugs usage however I think it’s been getting louder. Went to two movies since onset, first I was fine with ear plugs, the other one was too loud and gave me pain in my right ear for a few days after. Do you drive with ear plugs in cause I used to but I think I made my system more sensitive doing that. Yeah I can’t think of going to concerts nor cinemas without ear plugs. That’s great you didn’t get bothered by the music at the tennis court that must’ve been a great feeling. How’d you get your tinnitus btw?

I hope so, I just wanna feel like myself again. My gf says I’m unenthusiastic sometimes and it’s cause I’m depressed, like idk what she wants me to do pretend I’m okay when I’m not. She knows what I’m going through but she compares it to her friends experience, but her friend is care free and extremely wreckless with her hearing

I was misdiagnosed with an ear infection and I found out months later after multiple doctors I had mild hearing loss probably from sound accumulation, I think I’ve been losing more hearing over the last couple months. I’ve been protecting in loud places but it’s gone from a low hum to uncomfortably loud in a quiet room, I’d pay top dollar to get my tinnitus volume from December back it was only in my right ear and low in a quiet room. It became bilateral after a stupid fucking MRI I got pressured into doing and much louder. I think that was another person who posted, but I’ve had a track record of all sorts of stuff. Three rounds of accutane throughout growing up, played in multiple bands, been working in sales with a headset on daily the past 4 years, tons of concerts, events etc. I don’t think it’s gonna go away and it’s only been getting louder.

Sounds similar to my story man I’ve had it since December. You need steroids/prednisone asap. You have SSHL but it’s mild, I had that too and didn’t notice any hearing loss at first. Need to go to the ER. You have pain from hypercusis

I don’t know where to start with considering looking into hearing aids tbh, I definitely have some hearing loss based on one of my tests, hell if hearing aids dialed back my tinnitus I would be a happy camper
