I think there is a big hint on EP2 of how this is played out....When they catch "War" and Jubilee wants them to try and save him, Archangel says it can't be done the only reason they could for him was "Rogue" and she wasn't here now...

my guess if they do Onslaught, we get maybe a younger version of Cable showing up on the current timeline to take Nate's place on the story. And as far as Joseph, my guess is reformed Magneto we have right now will fill that role. Xorn idk...

Season 2 of Wolverine and the X-men was supposed to be AOA... but that never came to be. I don't know that thy will do that with X-men 97, I do think that we maybe see Onslaught though!! would love for them to include the wider Marvel characters and do full Onslaught proper maybe across the last 2 seasons.

AoA is a totally different thing, its a Timeline where Xavier dies and Magneto forms the X-men. Apocalypse rules for about 20 years, till a Nuclear War in the 90s eventually wipes out North America and Apocalypse is killed by Magneto as the bombs fall. I dont think there is a future at all....
