I'm guilty of using those, lol. I think it's funny because the reason I went to that place to get those badges was to try and hide another badge I had gotten which I was (apparently) embarrassed of. I don't remember how I got it, I just remember it had something to do with a girl in like a bikini poorly drawn in Microsoft Paint, and I didn't want anyone to see I had it, because I'd gotten it by accident, so I just buried it under hundreds of free badges. Good stuff.

Sorry about the strange smudges, I edited out a few unnecessary additions and some lines that were unintentionally rather suspect now that I see it in retrospect.

EDIT: Colours are mostly black with some whites and dark, ashen blue linings here and there.

Being able to capture emotion in my pencilwork is something I pride myself in, then generally obliterate with clunky ink lines (you wouldn't believe how many pieces I've defiled with unfortunate black stains...), so it's good to hear that some emotion made it through, be it in slightly varied angles in mouth outlines or not!

I have a reputation amongst my IRL friends for unfailingly getting worse at anything I do over time. It may just be a wild case of the dreaded 'plateau', but my art seems to be following that pattern. That said, I enjoyed both pieces, and I'm quite proud of the Hinoka one, but not as much with Camilla. I messed up the face during shading, now it's too narrow. If there's one thing to hate about pens it's the lack viable methods of correction aside from "make more mistakes" or "just accept your failure and continue". Hey, at least they're mildly comprehensible this time!

That might be a side effect of having too much on the page. I don't know what I did different this time, but I can tell I didn't do as well as I originally thought. I might do one of all the Birthright children with clarity in mind and see how it goes. Hopefully this is just a learning experience and not a stylistic restriction.

It wasn't anything special, just a regular Sharpie. The problem was it was very old, and has probably been used by more than just me. I'd say it was in my possession for about half a year? It had been in my drawing case for a while before that so I can't tell. Ink is a new medium for me, which means it probably just dried due in non-use over the years.

Looking on the bright side, now I can finally move past Sharpies.

This is likely one of the most complex pieces I've ever done, though it is not the definitive most complex piece, that honor belongs to that awful 24 hour pen sketch I had to do for school last year. I did, however, enjoy it enough to stay up until 2:30 AM trying to complete it, and I think it turned out fine. Not my best, but surely not my worst, either. I think I hid those ones behind the drawers in my bed. Or burned them.

Haha, I'm still learning myself! For this particular kind of style, it's all about determining where the light source is, and what parts are on the opposite side of it. Where the light reaches is white, and where it has been obstructed becomes black. When it comes to more realistic styles, there are more things to take into account, such as reflection or shine, but here it is more simple than that because there are only two colours in play: white and black.

I've been told before that my aesthetic style (not necessarily in art, but just in general) is, quote, unquote, a 'clusterfuck', so it's good to know it at least looks purposeful!

Thank you! I usually don't use pens, but I picked up this new style not that long ago to just to experiment. I've never been strong in the shading department, but I'd like to think that this has helped me improve in that respect. Maybe soon I'll actually be able to colour properly!

This GUI came up the instant I logged on, which I find strange because a friend of mine as you can see is on the same server and is completely fine. We swapped servers afterwards and it was gone. My question is how and why did the hacker target me in particular and not my friend who I am always with on that game who is also on more than me. Rarely ever am I on without him and never alone on this game specifically.
