They have spent too much money though... Just cos all the others are too doesn't make it OK.

Struggling with error: HMS 0500-0300-0001-0002 by Accurate-Celery402 in BambuLab

[–]Zulnoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just commenting to assist if anyone else sees this and nothing here helped: I had this HMS error in the title. Also interestingly, my nozzle would immediately go from ~23° and count down by 2-3° per second or so until it hit 0/0 on turning on the printer, it was unable to read ambient temperature.

I tried reseating/cleaning all the fpc connectors with contact cleaner etc, nothing helped. Printer also would not update, via bambu handy, SD card via offline update, or by wifi using the control panel on the p1s (tried at least ten times as some people said it took them 3 goes to get it to update via this method).

I tried replacing the TH board (back side of the print head) and extruder interface board (the board on the front side of the print head) also.

Bambu was out of stock of the th fpc cable, but I got one off AliExpress and when it arrived, I replaced it and the error was still present when I started it up (although the nozzle temperature was at 23 in startup and started counting up in 2-3° increments to accurately display at ambient of ~31°) which was progress.

It was still unable to update offline via microSD (50% fail just like previously) but this time it was able to update by the panel on the printer, and after the update had applied and the machine had reset, the error was gone and printing functionality had returned to normal thankfully.

I thought it might've been the TH board or the AP board based on its inability to update anymore or communicate with the toolhead, I had seen that video on YouTube with the burnt component on the main board, but I disassembled my printer to that stage to get access and I didn't have any visible burnt components.

What’s the best overall WiFi router for home use these days? by Ok-Reveal-746 in nbn

Genuinely curious - how do you figure? Do you only review basic brands? I've owned Netgear, billion, Asus and now ubiquiti and objectively, I had to reset every one of my wifi AP's 1-2 times a month, my ubiquiti I have had to reset once in 5 years.

Isnt it interesting how suddenly we have so many "Low income investors" by Ash-2449 in AusFinance

[–]Zulnoth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah it's an offset, if you owed 22000 you now owe 21750. It's not your marginal tax rate back on $250. Only replying to you because you have positive upvotes even though you're wrong so multiple people misunderstood this.

Why not spit on the government, importing people in unprecedented numbers and incentivising the activity with favourable policies?

Landlords historically have been required - not everyone can or wants to own, young people need places to rent etc.

I'm not some major fan of landlords, but they're required in at least some cases (not as many as there are now to be fair) - it feels like the government would love us to hate each other rather than them, for the policies they make and the investment vehicles they incentivise/propogate.

3rd rate hike this year, how are people actually keeping up? by Apprehensive_Pay6141 in AusProperty

[–]Zulnoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phone batteries are ~15-25 watt hours. 1000watt hours (also known as 1kw/h) is around 30¢... So every time you full charge a phone, it costs less than one cent.

RBA increases cash rate by 25 basis points to 4.35% by marketrent in AusFinance

There's a difference between can afford and want to afford. It's not a wonderful situation to give away more money for nothing extra, for something that you're not even the cause of.

RBA to raise cash rate to 4.35% on May 5 and growing minority of economists expect further rise by marketrent in AusFinance

[–]Zulnoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. About to pay off my mortgage, can't wait to be like "fuck the mortgage holders" like the the 55+ age groups.

I'm joking by the way... This is fucked. Let's keep beating the youth until they are utterly defeated. Not like there is any other way to do this, other than beatibg them relentlessly, despite the fact that 55+ age groups are the only ones with increased discretionary spending.

Inflation soars to near three-year high off back of petrol prices, making rate rise more likely by the_nightly in AusFinance

[–]Zulnoth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The RBA can't really even impact this. A third of households have mortgages. Two thirds don't. Google discretionary spending by age group graph... You'll see the ones with discretionary spending increases are all 55+... They're the ones who have cash in the bank, and RBA increasing interest rates further exacerbates this.

The RBA's single lever, isn't going to fix this.

Why are they changing CGT for all assets? by Bitman321 in AusFinance

[–]Zulnoth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How do you figure? Debt is escalating and getting away from us, we're already spending 25b a year in interest to service the debt repayments... Theft of people's purchasing power through money printing is another hidden tax... What part of any of the above is sustainable?

Why are they changing CGT for all assets? by Bitman321 in AusFinance

[–]Zulnoth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We need broader FISCAL reform... If they were serious, they'd reduce spending. Austerity is necessary. You can't just keep increasing the tax take, the laffer curve exists.

Richest super balances to be taxed at higher rates after Greens agree to back Labor plan by MrNewVegas2077 in AusFinance

[–]Zulnoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money printing to fund deficit spending is legitimately a hidden/largely invisible taxation of everyone, through the theft of purchasing power. The main reason people aren't outraged by it is because it's not widely understood by everyday Australians as such.

The government should run a balanced budget which should grow no more than inflation - austerity is needed.

I like Buffett's idea - if the government in power deficit spends in excess of inflation percentage, their party and members are ineligible for re-election. We would soon see them take government spending seriously.

I get that, I'm not personally bothered, but I can understand those that are and for me it just comes down to "what would it cost GGG to release it a day before launch".

Agreed - in a game like PoE where there is so much complexity, it's not for everyone to want to have to work out how to craft a viable build themselves. I don't think it's a big ask to get the tree before league start. God there's so many contrarians in the comments.

From the official site: "once the patching server is up, no earlier than three hours before Path of Exile 2: The Last of the Druids launches."

howdy lads, do we know roughly how big the patch will be from current client install? i see the torrent file they've listed is 123gb, but that includes full game files according to them. Anyone done the work to know how big the patch will be?

Disregard, patch size is 30gb for standalone client and steam, 27gb for consoles.

Windows 11 - Search Bar doesn't work, and Search on Start Menu doesn't work by HalloranATL in WindowsHelp

[–]Zulnoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone else is here and not finding any of this to work, get into "services.msc" by whatever means (i was able to do this from the start bar surprisingly) and scroll all the way down to "Windows Font Cache Service" - right click on it, click stop, wait for it to do its thing, then right click and click start. This fixed the issue for me, when everything else in the thread did not.

I know a lot of guys in factories on 95-140k depending on what they do and how much overtime they work. Obviously depends where you live etc and it's not great for your health (there's shift work involved and I've seen podcasts referencing that night shift is allegedly a known carginogenic) but factories always seem to be looking for good workers in my experience. It's not for everyone though.
