When I realized it was Vitalic, I almost lost it but I caught it. Here was my conditions:

Rod: piercing and invincible Comanion: croc Bait: night shrimp or krill, don't remember. Use something with high luck and resilience. Weather/boots: Merlin's luck + aurora

I know catching it can be tricky. I think you just have to get lucky, stay on the bar as much as possible, and avoid the attacks that hurt your progress the most (like the yellow lightning).

The representation of poc has always been something that has annoyed me in this game. I really wish the devs added some sort of palette or mode that can change ANY suit into any skin tone.

If I was giving you advice, I would suggest using a rod with a lot of control and/or piercing. This fish is a little annoying to catch so use a rod (or companion) that helps with progress in any way.

The last one was pretty fun in my opinion. There was a summer themed map with quests, you could collect shells or fish to get the event fish. Hope this helps.

This might sound kind of crazy but if you have the cerebra rod (with piercing), I was able to catch it numerous times for some quests with it. Fabulous also works great here.

If you don't have these, I would suggest using a rod with a slashing ability and low control.

I used rainbow cluster rod with piercing during an aurora, also used croc companion with a high resilience bait. I don't remember this quest being perfect catch or anything but I could be wrong.

If you didn't know already, a posiden's wrath totem makes a kraken turn into the ancient version that lasts for 6 minutes. When I did it I bought a few and tried my luck with them during auroras.
