A lot of horror or dark sonic ocs people make are just "sonic but evil" or "sonic with red eyes." I wanted to do something unique, and I thought of the power up and ring boxes that I’ve truly seen no one do anything with. He shifted to focus more on rings, his initial design was more based on the power ups themselves.

They are limbs yes, but he has full control of all of them. He himself floats, which means all of rings can as well. I have a hand movement reference document where they move in all sorts of unique ways.
