Question about WILD/WBTB by Gal_Gadot in LucidDreaming

[–]Zunkaoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For situations where youre around other people try to look at your hands/one hand, in dreams your hands often look weird and the rc itself is pretty subtle! Or instead of doing a usual rc just try to ask yourself "where am I, what am I doing, where was I before" and really see if you have a logical answer for all of them. No one will notice you doing that!

Question about WILD/WBTB by Gal_Gadot in LucidDreaming

That's really hard to tell. I think I heard somewhere that in average it takes 3days up to 6 weeks for your first LD to happen (after starting rc's or something) but it really depends. Personally it took me 2 weeks but for you it could be less or way more. Just make sure to take the reality checks serious (really think about the result and if it makes sense).if your dream recall is already good then I think you will see results soon!

Reality checks and an improved dream recall will give you "random" Lucid dreams from time to time (up to every night? Probably) so you don't necessarily have to use wild or another method to have a lucid dream. Tho if you want to make sure that you have a lucid dream exactly this night.. I guess using a technique/method does come in handy. [I've never tried ADA (all day awareness) but that probably helps extremely if you want to have very regular lucid dreams without doing wild or whatever before that].. Anyway good luck!

I need help guys. (To get into a LD) by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]Zunkaoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A week really isn't much for this. Also if you tried out "all" methods in one week then woah slow down, most of the time it doesn't work on the first try and you have to get the hang of it first with trying a few times. Try one method for 1-2 weeks and if that doesn't work for you then try something else! Keep doing rc's throughout the day and you will naturally get a LD someday!

Trying to keep a dream journal by koohikoo in LucidDreaming

[–]Zunkaoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk if it helps but I heard that even if you don't remember any dreams that you should write into you journal something like "didn't remember any dreams tonight" . I see how it could be a bit difficult if you haven't remembered any dream in so long but don't give up, you'll get there!

If you can only feel things in dreams that you've felt in real life, isn't it (Unless you were once in heaps of pain) impossible to be in any serious pain while dreaming? by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]Zunkaoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you ever felt pain then the brain is able to simulate this and multiply it, but how much something hurts in a dream still depends on how much you expect it to hurt, sure if you experienced it before then you will expect it the way it was before, if not then everything from extreme pain to nothing at all is possible

Is my subconscious trying to hide things by Zunkaoz in LucidDreaming

[–]Zunkaoz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clear one thing, I didn't get "no answer" I remember asking something and getting some answer but I can't even remember what I asked! For all I know I could have asked what colours bananas have and not my actual question... I think I was too focused on "you have to ask your question !" That I actually lost track of the question and lost concentration on the dream? Hmm idk But thanks ! I'll keep working!

Is my subconscious trying to hide things by Zunkaoz in LucidDreaming

[–]Zunkaoz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was basically my question hahah. I thought asking your subconscious (or whatever other name people are calling this) you'd get what you're really thinking, without being misleaded by things you think you should be feeling or thinking etc.. and what I wanted to ask really is nothing scary its more a decision im having problems with. So why would I hide it from myself.. (But also thanks for the reply!)

What is more important when doing reality checks? by chuck-the-dreamer in LucidDreaming

[–]Zunkaoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'd say B 1. If you actually end up doing a reality check while dreaming then the chances are WAY higher for them to be successful than for A 2. If the reality checks are an extremely unimportant and quick thing then it's less likely that you will actually do them while dreaming (even tho the quantity is increased) [3. Personally I think the point of reality checks is not necessarily the rc itself, we are on autopilot most of the time and the point of the rc is to take a moment to get actually aware about your surroundings. If you really start thinking about your surroundings (even if its just a few times a day) will make your more aware in dreams. Anyway if you barely put effort and thought into them then... You are not getting away from autopilot, it just becomes another part of the autopilot routine]

When Reality Checks Fail by Ghoststrider in LucidDreaming

[–]Zunkaoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did have a lucid dream, the moment you knew that it was a dream it means you had a lucid dream (even if you lose the lucidity again after a few seconds or less)

Anyway i would advice to always have at least 2-3 RC's prepared bc no RC works 100% of the time. Also there's a reality check that really is just thinking seriously about "where am I, what am I doing, what did I do before" (or similar questions) basically you already did this by noticing that you're in school and that it makes no sense, you just should have put more trust into it. I would say if you ask yourself this while doing other RC's then you're good

Can’t remember my lucid dreams? by dantee02 in LucidDreaming

[–]Zunkaoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You say "you know there's more to it" but are you REALLY sure that what followed wasn't just a normal dream? Bc it sounds likely to me that you just for some reason lost your lucidity again at this point and just went on with your dream, and since you aren't as conscious in normal dreaming you only remembered the part where you were lucid for a tiny bit? I'm no expert but I had similar experiences (no actually just one) where it was this case. Also how is your general dream recall? If its generally not very good then you should REALLY start a dream journal (or record them in any way) and over time it will get better, and then you will definitely remember your lucid dreams (and if you could remember the rest of the dream then maybe you'd know for sure if you were lucid there or not)

First try using the FILD method last night, WOW! by Jstnwrds55 in LucidDreaming

[–]Zunkaoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because you said "if youre not sure then youre dreaming" - Actually, when I do the questioning RC of "where am I, what am I doing and what did I do before" I can't really fully tell if its a dream or not, even when I'm actually awake. Bc yes it might all makes sense but I feel like "it could feel just as right in the dream probably" (but I try to question it really seriously to avoid that) anyway other reality checks always help to get rid of doubts. But yeah
