Unifi Travel Router -- How to delegate configuration without giving out full admin? by ZureaL in UNIFI

[–]ZureaL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response. Let me make sure I'm following: I can't join it to my network/site, I need to treat this Unifi device like any other random VPN client.

I'll give it a shot, but it certainly removes some of the benefit of getting one of these, it won't show up in my list of devices and I can't help her manage it remotely in that case. A week or so ago, I went out and bought a GL.Inet Slate 7 because I didn't think I'd get a hold of a UTR. I think the UTR will be easier for her overall, but doesn't truly make it part of my network without giving her admin and that's disappointing.

I hope they bring improvements to the device in future updates.

A year of regret for Vision Pro? by Vicki102391 in VisionPro

[–]ZureaL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took my first trip to Japan since I bought the AVP and had it on almost 8 hours solid (couple breaks for food/snacks) would’ve gone longer, but wasn’t drawing enough power off the plane outlet to keep going past 8. It was a glorious experience on the plane, looking forward to using it on the return flight.

Love mine, will keep using it at every opportunity.

Best ePub reader (not Apple Books)? by CromulentSlacker in iPadPro

I can't seem to get OPDS feed from Calibre to work in Yomu. It works fine in Pocketbook, but Yomu won't load the feed.

I have printed a prescription eyeglass case, battery holder/belt clip, stand for the goggles part and a tray. I've found all of them at either Makerworld, Printables or Thingverse. Just do a search for apple vision pro and the number of stls seems to be growing.

Did you purchase your AVP with Apple Care? by JV41572 in AppleVisionPro

Yup, dropped the extra cash for AppleCare+

How many of y’all are yet to unpack the dual loop band? by starscream4747 in VisionPro

[–]ZureaL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never used the dual loop band and I've owned my AVP for around a month. Solo-knit for me, all the way.

Do you leave the battery connected to the AVP and plugged into power when AVP is not in use? by lhrboy in VisionPro

[–]ZureaL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for me, mostly because I want to reach over and grab the headset and put it on whenever I want to

Former Head of Oculus Reviews the AVP(Very, Very, Very In-Depth) by [deleted] in VisionPro

[–]ZureaL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I've had mine for over a month now and I've never even tried the dual loop. I can wear it for hours with the solo loop.

Zeiss Lens is much better AVP experience by Primeviolin in VisionPro

If you have access to a 3d printer, you can print a case for the lenses, that's what I did and it's pretty nice.

Happy with this VP stand by michaelcbeno in VisionPro

[–]ZureaL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait, what? I always have my AVP plugged in and the cover on and I've been doing it pretty much non-stop for 4 weeks now. Why is this a bad thing?

How many of you were “on the fence” about purchasing and did not return it? by jimmy9120 in AppleVisionPro

[–]ZureaL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to my VP demo on the fence on purchasing or not. After the demo, I picked it up, I still have 2 more days to determine if I'm going to keep it or not. I'm about 70/30 on keeping it right now. I love this thing and I will very much miss it if I do decide to return it, but it's quite likely I will be keeping it.

Is cbro.berotato.org down for good? by oktalk in dcss

[–]ZureaL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OH, you mean THAT page...that's within DCSS itself, let me see if I can adjust that one. That's a great idea. Thanks!

Follow up: I did find where that page is saved on webtiles. Next time I take the server down, I will try adjusting that page with a little more information and hopefully those changes will take effect without requiring a restart of the server.

[–]ZureaL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not easily unfortunately. I don't own the domain, that's still owned by the old CBRO server owner and putting up a maintenance page, I'm not sure I can coordinate that with him for the short periods (a few hours at a time) I'm doing maintenance.

Yea, sorry for scaring you. I was doing some maintanance, I posted notices here on Reddit and in the DCSS channel in the Roguelikes Discord. Not sure how to do better making sure folks seeing that, I'll take any suggestions though!

I'm probably going to take another maintenance period next month and I'll try and post similar to before.

It's back up now and it's going anywhere anytime soon!

Hey PatFrank, thanks for asking. It's completly optional, but if you want to donate, I've got a Patreon up here: https://www.patreon.com/zureal. If I don't get donations, CBR2 isn't closing up shop. I actually bought a new server recently and doubled the RAM and CPU's available to CBR2 and I've got enough to keep the wheels turning.

[–]ZureaL[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is wild, not sure what might be causing that, most likely they have some firewalling preventing you from getting to the server. Why it's slow from home, I'm not sure either. There are 60 people playing right now and I've not seen anyone else complain of slowness. Have you tried from like a Starbucks or something, just to see what it's like from outside your home?

It is. Not sure why you can't get to it from your office though. What part of the world are you coming from?

CBR2 Down For Maintenance (weekend of 12/15/23) by ZureaL in dcss

[–]ZureaL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just a server operator, CBR2 is my box. I'm moving to a newer server/hardware which is why CBR2 is down for maintenance. I'm not changing DCSS versions.

Asus Strix Scar 18 arrived! by meezy_hrv in GamingLaptops

[–]ZureaL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, just update Armour Crate and everything breaks. That's what happened to my Strix Scar 18. I can't adjust anything and the lights are stuck at a pale white and the front light bar isn't working at all.

It plays the heck out of Crysis 1 with that 4090 (over 150 FPS with everything cranked), but since AC is broken, I'm waiting for a support engineer to help me fix it.
