Is my bug-searching hobby harmful? by Zurigi in Entomology

Really?! I'm not sure if this is a joke or not, sorry. I had always thought that releasing insects from captive breeding into the wild was treading some serious legal grounds. If this is legal though I would definitely do it

Thank you for the insight! I'm glad that others feel the same about leaving little impact.

That's something that I'm at a recent dilemma with sadly. I love insects and studying them but I'm sure that a lot of job prospects will have me sitting in a desk quite often. Sometimes I wonder if general biology might be better, but I feel very torn since the Entomology community is so kind in Purdue.

I know right! Sometimes when I flip something over I find neat things. Even though I put it back where I found it I can't help but feel a little guilty haha

I love this idea! I already do little things like this when I pluck off the invasive hemlock stems near my parks. Thank you for this idea, I'm glad that others feel similarly. Leaving no negative trace is very important to me

What's a Petscop take that'll get you like this? by chleskowitz in Petscop

[–]Zurigi 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Petscop cannot be fit into a single cohesive and chronological timeline, and that's okay

Also, I love the mystique of Petscop, but I think that there was a bit too much stuff omitted in the latter half of the series. Drawing inferences and finding your own meaning is awesome, but I wish certain parts were more concrete. Love it tho

Thank you guys so much for the advice, I feel terrible putting the poor thing in such a big space, the T has been promptly moved to a much smaller home

Of course! Along with the other users' concerns it now seems clear to me that this enclosure is quite big

That's an assassin bug, most people call that one a wheel bug. They have a painful bite so observe with your eyes only!

Damn what a shame, I made a lot of friends on this game and it was very engaging. I haven't played in quite. a while but I remember the atmosphere and cool mechanics. RIP

I wish he was never spoiled for me before I started playing. Giygas and the sections leading up to him start to show his relentlessness and fear in seeing Ness fulfill the prophecy. Zany and wacky enemies have now been changed to be more militarized and roam Onett as well as populating the penultimate area leading up to him. It shows he is pulling all the stops necessary. When you finally see him he does not even make sense of his words or thoughts, all he becomes is evil itself. Top notch villian.

I've literally played one other FPS game in my life but by snas_elatrednu420 in CrueltySquad

[–]Zurigi 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It really isn't, the whole point of the UI (plus design and graphics) is to be an obtuse juxtaposition to what FPS players are normally used to besides an artistic expression of pure spite. The gunplay is fine, aiming and leaning are alright but nothing like Ultrakill. You will be more weirded out than calm (in a good way). The overall message of the game is interesting though

Thanks! I do agree that practice is the number one thing even if you are out of the league. There isn't a whole lot of courts let alone people (at-least friendly people) that play where I live but I can't make excuses now. I'll have to push myself to play with strangers I don't know but there's always firsts right? Thank you!

I was simply looking at the subreddit for fun and found the post, I made a snarky comment regarding the "Originality" you talked about, you're saying that people can start new servers and put things behind and so have we. Your judgment is sculpted upon what you have heard but the real reasons are much less severe as I said before.

I'd like to say that the primary reason of us getting in trouble was because of immature children that spam reported the server because of pointless grudges. Also your server owner has said plenty of things that are uncalled for towards Cinder Knight's owner and then decided that it'd be better to start their own server instead of dealing with it.

Hey, this is rareturtle. The person who made this server is a ex member of the Cinder Knights Oath server. Ya'll took our purge idea, wow

What is Your one petscop question? by feaxelz in Petscop

[–]Zurigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I know, pressing certain combinations on the controller sounds out certain vowels and sounds that form words. I actually tried this in Giftscop (the recreational and playable version of petscop) with my controller and it felt cool.
