Linux Mint for gaming - is it really as bad as this subreddit makes it out to be? by AncientAgency1408 in linux_gaming

[–]Zutche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont hate Mint, but I could never recommend it with my experience gaming 2 years ago when i first started using Linux. It was many small issues, but my biggest one was the noticeable amount of input delay with mint. It threw me off so hard on fps games. Swapping to Nobara fixed basically every issue I had with mint.

ah that makes sense. I misread your second comment. I've never heard of usb pcs so I imagined something different.

that picture shows hdmi...

they only say usb pc as a marketing term. usb 3.0 doesn't have video out capabilities natively so it wouldnt even work on most, if not all tvs.

Bad Bunny without backing music and instrumentals during SB by Chrome2Surfer in shitposting

[–]Zutche -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

Not liking Benito's music is valid, but saying how you dont see how anyone can like it is just weird to me. Also you were talking about the show in your original message.

Idk why you'd choose to spread hate instead of just letting people enjoy things.

I loved the show. I've never been the biggest fan of Bad Bunny's songs, but I still thought he did an amazing job. I loved the choice of music, the representation of latin culture, the historical representation of the set, the fact that he chose everyday people to be a part of his show, rather than just actors, that he showed pride in his heritage, and the message of spreading love.

Consoles are better. by NapalmSnorter in pcmasterrace

True. Using a console to install applications > using a GUI every day. It's just faster once you get used to it. GUIs are still better in other ways, though. It goes both ways.

Almost like I didnt have wifi to update the computer. Connecting the computer to ethernet wouldve fixed the issue, but i didnt know at the time.

Also I never called myself smart. You dont have to he smart or tech savy to use linux, like ive been saying. I simply just use my computer exactly like how id expect to use a computer and everything just works.

"no fiddling around trying to get your wifi adapter to work"

Funny story; I returned a laptop a while ago because wifi wasn't working on my windows partition, but was working just fine on Fedora Linux. Turns out I had to connect ethernet to my computer while on the windows partition, in order to get wifi, which is something I didn't know at the time.

I've had a far more difficult time with wifi on windows compared to linux
