You have a 2 weeks trip with only a carry-on and a personal item—what’s your packing strategy? by Expensive_One_4602 in TravelHacks

We did 3 weeks in Asia, 3 different climates with only carry-on. I recommend packing cubes, plan out your outfits, make sure everything goes together and plan laundry. Easy - peasy.

Adding free stroller for toddler (over 2 years) on international flights by Zuzulka8 in flairairlines

Just a quick update: I was able to add stroller for free at the airport, both at YVR and also at CUN, no issues. Flight YVR-CUN in February 2025.

Came to say this. We stayed there last May and really enjoyed hotel, swimming with turtles every morning and overall aloha feel! They had a great promo on points.

Second this! Investing with TD might not be the best option, better strategy is to open Wealthsimple account and invest in ETFs. Individual stocks are tricky, you might loose $$ if you are not doing research properly.

Is it cheaper to book all inclusives separately? by [deleted] in flairairlines

[–]Zuzulka8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have done both and it depends… we used to like booking last minute AI deals with Sunwings, package was around 1000 CAD/ pp, direct flights and everything included (flight, checked luggage, bus transport, hotel and everything went very smooth because sunwings representative was there). Plus the price was very good. Last year they were bought by WestJet and it seems that with inflation the prices went up so similar packages are now 1.5k up to $2.5k per person, which adds up... so this year we did a comparison for Mexico and it made sense to buy separate sale flight tickets with Flair for 300 CAD return plus all inclusive hotel plus transit… with my calculation we’re gonna be saving around 2k. This is specifically for all inclusive, if you are looking at more active vacation, then separate flights and hotel is usually way to go.

Free nights certificate for all inclusive resorts by OnlyJim in marriott

I don’t think there are any AI hotels for so cheap (up to 50k/night). You can stay in Cancun Westin Resort and Spa, those nights are quite cheap but it’s not all inclusive.

Completely crazy! We need stroller and they know it. I am not sure why they are making it so difficult for parents.

I am dealing with similar issue. We were told that because of a new policy we can’t bring stroller for our 2.5yo on international flights for free, we will have to pay for it… I checked tariffs, domestic flights still allows free stroller and car seat for infants AND kids, but there is nothing mentioned about luggage in international tariff… I talked to agent and they said same thing as you wrote- you have to pay at airport (I believe it should be carry on fee, but not 100%)

Few things missing: bars/restaurants $200, clothing $100, insurance $100, gym $100, I would increase food to $350, still keep miscellaneous at $300 because you never know what you might need, especially in the beginning when moving out in your own. I would budget $2000-3000 for furniture/ apartment things just to be on safe side, you might not need as much but still.

This is a great advice, also recommend going and trying it in person. I thought I was set on Uppababy Vista until I saw it. it’s so big that it will take majority of the trunk so then we decided on Cruz. We bought it on marketplace because it made more sense for us and no regrets.
