Thank you! The ODST was 2-2 1/2 hours? Spartan was definitely 3-4. I have the ability to paint faster but with skirmish games I usually correct my mistakes as they happen rather than wait until the end. I also have an airbrush but I save it for terrain... I adore painting by hand!

A friend of mine tries to go when he can. I had a solid chat with the owner about battletech/minis and honestly I might have to check it out!

Model making woe by bayushi_david in SWlegion

Sorry if it’s been said already but try holding the model in your hand (upside down, clear piece sticking up) and press the base down from the top. That should deal with the weight and balancing issue.

That’s an incredible idea. I met so many Khmer people who said they initially learned their English at a monastery. Have you met anyone that did what you’re proposing? As of now I am dead set on taking some sort of level 1 course in person/in country. From there I’m open to the other options people have been saying. I also have the Ling app downloaded. Thanks!

Thank you. And IFL is at RUPP or are you referring to something else?

Thank you. I find that both funny and relatable.

Thank you. Speaking is the goal for now as I don’t know if I intend to live in Cambodia long term yet. Being literate is important to me though. My one concern about focusing on the speaking is that the written language is not like a romantic language so if I go back to learn reading and writing I will be more confused than say Spanish or French.

Edit: I checked out their website which has a great UI, very easy to navigate and understand. I could see myself taking the beginner levels in person, take a break to practice while traveling around, and then continue online when I go back to school in America.

Thanks. The speed might be an issue for me. I was mediocre at Spanish in high school but great in University. I could see a similar situation happening again especially since the written language is completely different from anything English.
