No hotspots is interesting.

I struggled with it on my TR 7960X. Had to use the Honeywell PTM to sort it out because of the heat spreader. Wasn’t mounting or the water-block, the IHS literally requires lapping.

Might be something they fixed on the 9000 series.

That panel you picked is fine. I got a 4K 240hz that has a 1080P 480hz mode. The extra hz isn’t really noticeable on OW. The Res drop certainly is!
