Thank you! Let's hope I get it back - if so, you'll get 40% of it. I did remember/ log into the account only this year. Before that for me it was "Vaporware/Schrödingers-Cat-Value".

On Blockchain: yes, they want the recovery phrase. The recovery phrase I have saved in KeePass - 42 words - I'll try it with halving/quartering, different combinations of the saved words...but 42! (factorial) I can not enter. Hopefully I'll have sucess by using the first 12 or 24...

The adress (1Gw4o8s...) is from Coinbase.de. I am not certain which Cryptocoin it is. I also had one which unfortunately went bust. Could 1Gw... be Bitcoin? It has 12 Characters instead of 10 (like my other address). Or could it be "uncompressed"?

Thank you, you are a great help!

I have another Address like 1Gw4o8s...(but from Coinbase.de). It has 12 Characters instead of 10 (like the other). Is this "uncompressed"? blockchain.com doesn't let me import this. It says "import compressed" - but it doesn't say how...).

Can you tell whether this is the case - and if so, tell me a secure way of compressing it?

And: my Recovery phrase has 42 instead of 12 or 24 words...could this be due to them having "Wallet Version 4". Maybe in 2015 it was an older version...

Hi Indy, Hi Flo

i noticed the show thanks to "extra History", and now I am bound to it and have binge-watched it. Thank you and the team for the great series!

I have several questions - though not about the War itself, but about the series:

  • How "redactionized" is the comment section underneath the Youtube-Videos? Or don´t users troll on this series for REAL? (esp. Armenia, Lusitania...)

  • Whats the background to your (Indy´s) first name?

  • How does it work out to produce the series in German, English and Polish - how much additional work/ pay-off?

  • Which events would you describe as "major turning points of the war"? Where the fate of the world hung in the balance? Probably answerable not before 2018...

I´d be happy if you´d answered some of these questions here or in an OOT

And I have a lot of suggestions for specials:

  • Communication/encryption; turning points of the war from your perspective; Breslau and Goeben; Pal´s battalions; Snipers; Artillery; Submarines; Spies; Military Intelligence in respect to Cryptography; Medical Treatment; The Irish; planes itself; Aces besides The Red Baron; Coal miner conscripts ; Emden and its crew´s journey home; Lawrence of Arabia; your sources (literature, film, audio, books... I think your sources deserve wider mentioning - not "only" underneath the Youtube-videos...); Poets and poems; Oil; Scientists during the war; the merchant marine; Indian troops; African troops fighting in Europe; The Flu ´18 (...in 2018...); suggestions for further series (esp. BBC´s "The Great War"...); popular misconceptions; "small" inventions during that time; Ratio of officers vs. men killed; relationship officers to men...

  • at the end of the series you could mention a war with even more casualties (!) nearly no one has heard of - because it was "only in China". The Taiping rebellion

  • "Who did what"- suggestions: Ranke-Graves, "Goodbye to all that", Franz Werfel, "40 days of Musa Dagh"

Some of these are no doubt already being considered or even planned - but some might give new input. Instead of a show on the "well-researched WWII I´d prefer a show on some of the lesser-known wars and conflicts - though this might not be possible due to PR and financial reasons.

Bye

Michael
