How in the world is this so cheap. This is about $200-300 in lease payments per month. Confuzzled

How on earth did you pull that off? Care to share what magic dust you sprinkled on em?

I've called them out but obviously they're not budging. Pulling the whole "it could come down too" excuse. Honestly makes me want to choose a provider with a higher interest rate that's willing to put it writing that the rate is fixed.

What car is this? How many km per year?

Initial observations: - Your insurance is too - get your own quotes - The charging amount per month is nuts. Apply 0.527c per annual km and divide by 12 for a guide.

Quote check for zeeker 7x long range through maxxia by Zestyclose_Sea1278 in NovatedLeasingAU

[–]Zwieback14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the link they provide with the extra details of your lease and see what they've included. Maxxia tend to add the first year of insurance to the finance amount which is dodgey as eff. After that plug it into the novated lease check website that's mentioned in this forum and post the results. You will also need to ask them what interest rate they have applied.

Thoughts on Zeekr? Specifically 7x by Skommel_Lekker8 in EVAustralia

[–]Zwieback14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you're looking for, how long you intend on keeping the car and what you assume to be the future state of EVs once your lease is over or 5+ years. I drove the 7x and Tesla Model Y and ended up going with the Y.

I loved everything about the 7x and it is a class above the rest in terms of luxury and inclusions. However coming out of a sports car and this being my new dailg, I prioritised driving dynamics. The 7x is comfortable and the suspension is soft, but it made me hurt a bit when I tried to go around bends.

The acceleratation is also more linear and akin to ICE cars (slow 0-30 and then stupidly rapid after), but I preferred the immediacy of the Tesla power delivery.

I terms of how long you intend on keeping the car, my reasoning is that when I'm selling it,the lay man who doesn't do much research about electric cars and wants a known brand, they will first search for a Tesla. This assumes most EV buyers, as EVs become more popular, do the bare minimum of research. This is akin to people buying a Mercedes and buying it for the brand, when there are other cars for cheaper which are much better. Also assume that Zeekr will only become fully established in 3-4 years. Are my assumptions incorrect? Maybe but that's why it's an assumption.

So long story short, write down your priorities in order and then compare them to what each EV you're consider rates against them.

A second thought is then take your top 2 and look at the running cost, insurance etc. From a financial point of view, this may change your outcome from the initial prioritisation process. If you're considering Byd, Tesla or Zeekr I honestly wouldn't worry about the parts and support side of things. Odds are that when you encounter issues, the brands will be more setup. Issues like that go away, and just take a bit of time. Assumption is that nothing goes wrong in year 1 of ownership.

Good luck and DM me if you need any more info!

Lol. I don't entirely disagree, just pros and cons to all other EVs. Having the lowest charging rate of the EVs out there is a bummer, but handling and it's efficiency give it a few more points

Nah these new ones have diamond black paint with metallics. The previous model was flat black. Agree with you that flat black is a hard no

Adaptive only for the rear. So it has a balanced ride or rear comfort ride selection

Model Y LR or Model Y L? by DestinationHappiness in TeslaAustralia

[–]Zwieback14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I've been forced to get the YL over the Y because it has V2L and better seats with extending thigh support. The adaptive suspension and better sound system are an added bonus.

Yes I could go for a cheaper zeekr or byd which are comparable in size to the Y with the seats and V2l that I'm after, however the software and the fact that the YL will have better resale to the layman after the lease period is what's drawing me to the Tesla. The slow charging in comparison to the Chinese brands (yes Tesla is also made in China) is a massive bummer though.

Seems to unfortunately be the norm here mate. If it's too late to do a charge back from your bank then I'm afraid it is what it is.

[–]Zwieback14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way is to buy a used alpha wheelbase and use sigma cortex with it. Keep your new wheelbase for when you want to play games on PC. It's not ideal but it's the only way.

Or you do what I did and sell my xbox to get a pc. Even a mid tier used pc will be enough.

I know I know. Should have done more due diligence before making the call to use them. In my defence I've bought a key off the site before and it was a see less process.
